78 /100 Bridge Bier Huis (Bar) 2 BANK PARADE Probably the best option for beer in Burnley. Well kept cask beers, a couple of keg lines plus Belgian bottles in the fridge. Good value |
68 /100 ST JAMES ROW In a back-street just off the main pedestrianised shopping street, this micropub is now situated in a commercial unit opposite its former premises. It acts as tap for the local Reedley Hallows brewery, but you may find more guests ales on its six pumps than those from the actually brewer. There’s also a number of Belgian bottled ales permanently available here too if you’d prefer these as well as decent amount of guest craft bottles too. It’s small but cosy place with a much more relaxed wooden finish decor than its previous incarnation. |
76 /100 Bridge Bier Huis (Bar) 2 BANK PARADE Behind the dated concrete and brick shopping centre that desperately needs an update, there’s no bridge left here as the river has been built over but the pub is going strong. In its own brick building it’s one of the few places in this area that has survived the post-war bulldozer and is a characterful venue for it, although the decor, fixtures and fittings are modern enough in the traditional sense. The bar includes six real ale pumps that include a real cider on them as well as a number of keg ales and lagers with the emphasis on craft brews. There’s also a very large bottle selection here with a list on each table. Their website constantly updates what’s currently available and the prices are extremely competitive. |
84 /100 Bridge Bier Huis (Bar) 2 BANK PARADE Excellent ever changing ales. Good value.£2-£2.50 a pint.Polite, helpful staff. Friendly customers.Value home cooked food. No surprise this is a multi award winning pub. |
60 /100 Boot Inn (JDW) (Bar) 18 ST JAMES’ STREET The traditionally outfitted outlet of the two Wetherspoon pubs in Burnley. This one located opposite the shopping centre is on several levels leading to an outside patio area at the back. The bar welcomes you as you enter and also covers two of these levels with a choice of ales on two rows of pumps at either end. |
70 /100 Bridge Bier Huis (Bar) 2 BANK PARADE nice local boozer with nice selection. |
