Tamar Inn (Bar)
THE QUAY
“Situated in the small village of Calstock with the geography of the river ensuring this tiny area of Cornwall has both Devon immediately to its north and south across the other side of the Tamar river, the Tamar pub is situated right by the water with just a small road separating the two (and a lot of silt and mud if the tide is out!). From its terrace sections you might just be able to take in views of the fine railway viaduct which defines the skyline here, although not from the covered section at the pubs rear. The pub is split level on the inside, open plan with a decent row of cask ales including national and local options, with some crafted keg available too, but with more UK wide brands on these. It has a somewhat chain-like modern-traditonal design with food served throughout the day, there's also a restaurant room too, but there was not requirement for it on the mid-September Saturday I visited, although some idiot in a coach was trying to get into the village when I was leaving - a completely unsuitable set of streets for it, but I guess tourists en-mass do end up in here for a meal as options are very limited for food and drink in Calstock.“

Tamar Inn (Bar)

“Nice riverside pub with a nice outdoor seating. 7 ales on cask. 8 kegs. Well kept - both the pub and the ales. A separate room for eating - but no food on a Monday early afternoon!“

Tamar Inn (Bar)
THE QUAY
“A main bar serving two rooms. A well-kept pub in stone and wood interiors with a L-shape patio overlooking the Tamar River and the viaduct. Seven regional cask ales, eight kegs and a few bottle. Cool jazz in the background. Polite service. Relatively close to the train station in Calstock (Visited with Finn on our Tamar Valley Rail Ale Trail, 26.09.2016).“
