“Headed to Cape for the day from STL. Love the vibe of the place. We made it in during brunch which was amazing. We've been here for their regular service and the beers & pizzas are a must if you're stopping in the area.“

“Last stop on our Saturday brewery tour. Big bar area, lots of seating plus plenty of tables. Nice old rehabbed building almost facing the river, at least when you walk out the door you can see it to your right. They had several of their own beers on tap, plus a few guest taps. We sampled five of theirs, all were decent. The brewer was talking with another couple explaining the brewing process and what to look for in their beers. Glad to hear him helping them out. Food menu looked good as well, didn’t eat anything, maybe next time. Decent place if in the area, hopefully they get better.“

“Sports bar/Restaurant feel. Confusing menu, I ordered a few that I assumed were from them (because their menu was laid out in a way that made it appear that they were from them), but they weren’t. Best beer I had wasnt theirs. Left without finishing any from my flight. Food looked good but didnt get any.“

“Tiny tasting room. Beers werent very good. Only got a flight and didnt even drink them all. Only 5 or 6 on tap. Has potential for a view since its on the river, but they were still rehabbing.“

“Dropped by on a random Tuesday, early afternoon. Cape Girardeau is a charming little villa along the Mississippi, and the flood wall right down the street is an interesting sight. There’s another brewery a block away, but they weren’t open yet, so Minglewood won out as our road trip stopover. Loved the atmosphere, in a well redone historic space featuring some cool area photos. The single bartender on duty was Johnny-on-the-Spot -- great service. We did a sampler of 5 beers, and although nothing was technically wrong with any of them, there wasn’t anything above ordinary with any of them, either. The menu looked pretty standard for brewpub fare, but we didn’t eat. Bottom line: great setting, friendly folks, likely decent pub fare, and some beer that’s not Bud. Brewery #786.“

“Stopped in on a Friday evening, nice job on the refirb. Lots of table and bar seating, so plenty of room. Several german bier taps, lots to choose from. We did not try any food, just there to hang out and enjoy a couple of beers. Worth a stop if in the area.“

“Solid new brewpub in an area definitely needing it. Nice decor w/ exposed brick and plenty of bar space. When I was there they had 11 beers on tap. They do a "Firkin Friday" with a new experimental small batch each week (Jalapeño Kolsch when I was there). Except for the firkin, no other beers were adjunct heavy. Several hop-forward beers, a few Belgians, stouts, and a nice Kentucky Common. Beers were solid, average but clean and satisfying. I didn’t try the food, so I can’t vouch for that. I’d be a regular if I lived in Cape Girardeau.“

“Cute little place I just came across, although apparently it’s been around for a year and a half (although to my defense, I only come down to Cape for a few days out of a year). Regardless, they do have an excellent selection of beer, by far the best in Cape that I have come across. Lots of German beers of course, but also a ton of very high quality micros. Probably about 30 taps or so and over 100 bottles easily. Prices are very reasonable. Service was good. Food was good for what they had, but they don’t have many food options - one pound imported German pretzel, wings, steak fingers, burger, and fries - that’s about it. I had the pretzel, wings, and steak fingers, and they were all very good though. Will definitely be back here next time I am in town!“
