48 /100 El Pozo Canario (Restaurant) ALCABALA A URAPAL, CA. CAMPO ELÍAS. LA CANDELARIA Use to be one of the best places in La Candelaria neighborhood to eat good spanish dishes. Still good, but not like five years ago. Solera and Polar pilsen on tap. Regular venezuelan beers and Heineken bottled and the very good Cardenal is available there too. Good prices. |
56 /100 Las Burgas (Restaurant) AV OESTE ESQ ALCABALA A PTE ANAUCO, LA CANDELARIA Spanish "Tasca" style bar/restaurant in the tradional Candelaria neighborhood. Polar, Solera, Brahma and other locals beers available. Also sometimes some german lagers like Löwenbräu and Warsteiner. Good food. |

50 /100 Celicor (Beer Store) AV RÍO DE JANEIRO C/ CALLE TRINIDAD, LAS MERCEDES Big liquor store. Besides the regular local beers, you can also find Destilo and some international brands (Heineken, Löwenbrau, etc). Good selection also in wines, whisky and rum. |
56 /100 Cordon Blue (Bar) AVENIDA LIMA, QUINTA OCOPI, PLAZA VENEZUELA Cool bar (in the looks, not the temperature) in the Plaza Venezuela area in the geographic center of Caracas. Rumours say that use to be a bordello. Maybe it was judging for the decoration. Now the clientelle is mostly students and after office people. Good place to take a cold one. Polar, Regional, Brahma, Zulia and maybe some international lager beers available. |
46 /100 Hog Heaven Bar (Bar) AV. AVILA C/ CALLE MIRANDA, QTA ALBA LA CASTELLANA Ok place to visit in Caracas. Supposed to be a bar for motorbike riders, there are few of them there. But don’t worry, they are only rich and want to show it. Local Polar on tap, also Brahma, Solera and other bottled. Good music sometimes. |
60 /100 La Barrita (Bar) CALLE PÁEZ C/ AV. SAN IGNACIO. EDIF. SANTA ANA Local bar at Chacao neighborhood in Caracas. Not the best ambiance, not the best selection on beers. But, is the place to be for a nice local chilled beer and enjoy a baseball or football game. Local Polar, Solera and other venezuelan beers. Food on plates available on lunch hours. "Raciones" and tapas also the rest of the day. Very good "Pulpo a la gallega" (octupus). Attended by the owner when he’s not sleeping |
