96 /100 2 PLACE DE LA GARE Coreff is an iconic artisanal brewery rooted in the center of Brittany, France. It was founded in 1985, a time when only idustrial beer was available on the market, and remains true to its roots : authentic taste, no added sugar, no added aroma, only true grit and craftsmanship.
My favourite : probably Dramm Hud (strong ale - 7,5°alc).
The brewery hosts visits on its museum and tastings - see on their website. |
54 /100 2 PLACE DE LA GARE The largest of the breton brewers, and probably the less friendly ones. The have a brewery shop where you can find almost all of their beers, nice prices, but service is cold and distant. Brewery is just a medium sized one, nothing too interesting to waste time if this is your only reason for visiting Carhaix. |
58 /100 La Brasserie (Restaurant) 2 PLACE DE LA MAIRIE A large cafe with a standard tap selection, 6 taps of local breweries and one cask of the town brewery: Coreff Ambré. |
70 /100 Georges Zinc (Bar) 3 PLACE DU CHAMP DE FOIRE Probably the best beer place in town. 5 mainstream taps, with lots of belgian and german classic brews, and one local cask, Coreff, no doubt your best choice there. Maybe the only place km around opening till "late" , so in our case we drove there a few times from some km away. |
