“Visited today for a brewery I hadn't been to before. Nice pine wood interior and kind of a country feel. Had to wait for 15 minutes for a table. For a Friday afternoon I found that unusual for where it is located. Food was good, I had a pulled pork sandwich, as was the beer. Had an enjoyable afternoon. Room for a lot more people outside and in the covered patio when the weather gets nicer and they hire more staff.“

“Visited 9/11/23 on the way back from Hood River. Nice place. Definitely country. Rustic, low key. Friendly staff. Good beers. Good food. Covered patio as well as indoor seating. Five breweries that day and this is probably my fave. Diamond in the rough for sure.“

“A hidden gem behind a post office or something. The interior has a great natural wood vibe. We stayed outside at a picnic table. Great service with a good selection of brews. The food was good too. It's well worth a visit if you're in the Gorge. Grab some beer to-go too.“

“Visited on Friday 24/05/13 around 6.30pm. We took Backwards in whilst journeying from Hood River to Walking Man in Stevenson, from which Backwards is maybe only 10 or so minutes. The place had opened fairly recently and was fairly busy with a local crowd who packed out the single room, which was akin to an industrial unit/chalet in the middle of nowhere. Patio area outside. Service was a little slow. Food available largley centred around pizzas. We just had the nachos which didn’t really measure up against most other brew pub nachos I’ve experienced in the US. The beer ... 10 taps, all their own, pretty mediocre offerings - smacked of start up brewer rattling off the stock styles. Value was hit and miss. $9 for 6 times 4oz tasters - fair enough, $4.50 for a 16oz pint - fine but $15 for a growler fill seemed a little pricey bearing in mind the actual quality of the beer on sale compared to other places. If you’re heading nearby why not pop in, good for ticks, not great for good beer!“

“Good luck finding it but if you do you will be greeted by a lively crowd, great service and average, sweet tasting beer.“
