68 /100 1535 S. CALUMET AVENUE Very cool spot. 8 house beers, taster sizes for about $1.50/per. Very chill vibe. Cooler inside than it looks from the outside. |
76 /100 1535 S. CALUMET AVENUE Small tap room with 8 of their own beers available. Very convenient location though to both I-94 and I-80/90. Beers are top notch - definitely worth a stop. |
58 /100 1535 S. CALUMET AVENUE Basically in a warehouse that stills smells of wet paint. Not much for ambiance and they are really nothing more than a nano brewery at this point for selection is limited to 6 taps. Good service and helpful. Easy to get to from I-94 or I-90. |
88 /100 Octave Grill (Restaurant) 137 S. CALUMET AVENUE The idea of this place in Chesterton is awesome. They got 4 taps at this time - Anchor Steam, Schafly APA, either Dogfish Head 60 or 90-min IPA (it changes) Three Floyd’s Robert the Bruce and Bell’s Oberon, which I’m sure will switch around. They carry a lot of Indiana beers that they can get. I had one from Mishawaka Brewing. They have some from Oaken Barrel and Barley Island as well. Bell’s and other Michigan beers as well, I believe.
They have some vegetarian options, but their big thing is grass-fed beef burgers. They also have various sandwiches other than burgers, and a hummus platter. Dessert changes as well.
It’s tight quarters, and looks to seat about 26 people. FOr 2 adults and 2 kids, you’ll probably end up spending around $45, but it is high quality food. |
