52 /100 Tunnel House Inn (Bar) TARLTON ROAD Visited April ’17 with Bob & Sue (and Jasper) during a walk from Cirencester. This is a surprisingly large building and grounds given that it was originally built to house the navvies working on the Sapperton Tunnel, it has a more hotel lounge cum dining room feel inside with all the tables laid up for the eating of food. Drinkers tend to feel compelled to drink outside, which is very pleasant and isolated on a sunny day. The beer range is small but local, all the beers were from Gloucestershire on our visit, nothing new for me, even on the cider front. It’s a pleasant spot to visit on a long walk for a refresher, but not a ’go to’ location. |
