“I really like the ambience at this place, it’s small and cozy with a real laid back atmosphere. I’ve been here several times and they always have good music blasting throughout the place. You can say the decorations are generic like one of the other reviews said and think it’s a bad thing but I actually like them, it reminds me of going over to one of my friends house and gives it a more home feel. . Service is excellent with one of the brewers serving you and are more then open to chat it up about any questions you might have. . I’m a big Porter and browns guys and this spot hits the mark everytime and doesn’t disappoint. The other selections are pretty great and they always have new beer coming all the time. Depending on your taste they will have something for you. . For food you can bring whatever you want in. They do have on occasion vendors coming in to supply some good eating. Their are days they do provide food which is strange but also really good for anybody to eat. . For value it’s 5.50 a pint Which to me is a pretty great deal and they do have growers for a pretty decent buy and fill. . Overall I actually rate this place pretty high based on beer, location and ambience. Also this place is right next to two major freeways so the location. Is really easy to get to.“

“With such a classy name, I was expecting a real sort of dumpy place. But, I guess that’s why they play the game/actually visit the store.

Pretty much right off the freeway, so an easy stop. In a tiny strip mall where pretty much everything else is out of business. Air-conditioned, so that’s a huge plus. Also, a sizable walk-in cooler. Offerings from the typical suspects like Ballast Point, Stone, Anderson Valley, Bruery, Lagunitas, etc. But they also had some random imports like a couple Icelandic beers. Pizza Port cans, Lost Abbey, all that fun stuff. Some $50 Cascade sour beers as well (no implying they’re gouging since that just seems to be what they cost down here).

Overall a decent selection in what is otherwise mostly a beer desert. Friendly service as well. Unfortunately they don’t allow splitting six packs.

But, they did have this fine product: http://i.imgur.com/QHwREsk.jpg“

“Quite the place...there’s just a generic "beer!" sort of sign at the corner of the driveway, otherwise no indication that a brewery exists from the outside. A small tasting room area that is reminiscent of what I can only describe as a northern Midwesterner’s basement in 1998 that had been decorated with all the beer related clip art someone could find printed out at 50 dpi and then put into $2 frames from Target. Jesus, that was a hell of a run-on sentence. It’s not bad, I guess, just seemed horribly dated. But at least they had some strong fans blowing cool air in there.

Anyway...on with the show. Two guys working the tasting room. I presume from the conversations that one of them was a stakeholder or brewer or both. They had 9 beers, tried 8. For the most part the beers were all acceptable. The hoppy beers suffered, but it seemed like old hops were the issue. At least decent enough fermentation--no green apple and cardboard, etc.

I don’t see myself returning to Colton any time soon, but these guys are actually not too bad and it might be worth a stop to see what they’ve got on.“
