70 /100 92 WEST STREET Quite small bar with nine of their own beers on tap. Bar was full of young people having fun when I visited Friday night. I also managed to get five of their cans that weren’t on tap. |
82 /100 55 WEST ST Nice posh place in the middle of Corner Brook. They have 14 taps with their own beers and sell their cans too. They do flights of 5. I asked dor all their beers and staff gave me all 13 (one beer just ran out) for the price of two flights..
Good service :) |
64 /100 55 WEST ST Busy, raucus, very new it seems and quite anachronistic to the rest of Corner Brook. It's a part of a newly built hotel, which I didn't stay at because it was fully booked. So I stayed at the scuzzbucket further down the street. Flights of five on offer, but prices were a little bit... let's use that word again, anachronistic. Food was very good, I had the fish and chips which I highly recommend. Beers were hit and miss, often too clean and unbalanced. Still, for someone interested in craft beer, it's not a bad spot to stop for lunch if you're in the area. |
78 /100 92 WEST STREET I spent my first night in Newfoundland in the tap room here. Storefront in a large row building downtown. Six beers on tap when I was there, There was no food when I was there but I think they sometimes have snacks for purchase.I was there on a Sunday night and had the place to myself for a little while. Guy who owns the place was very friendly and attentive. The beer was good, nothing spectacular but nothing objectionable either. I ended up staying and imbibing much longer than I anticipated. I'd go back again if in the area. |
