| 64 /100 55 WEST ST “Busy, raucus, very new it seems and quite anachronistic to the rest of Corner Brook. It's a part of a newly built hotel, which I didn't stay at because it was fully booked. So I stayed at the scuzzbucket further down the street. Flights of five on offer, but prices were a little bit... let's use that word again, anachronistic. Food was very good, I had the fish and chips which I highly recommend. Beers were hit and miss, often too clean and unbalanced. Still, for someone interested in craft beer, it's not a bad spot to stop for lunch if you're in the area.“ |
| 78 /100 92 WEST STREET “I spent my first night in Newfoundland in the tap room here. Storefront in a large row building downtown. Six beers on tap when I was there, There was no food when I was there but I think they sometimes have snacks for purchase.I was there on a Sunday night and had the place to myself for a little while. Guy who owns the place was very friendly and attentive. The beer was good, nothing spectacular but nothing objectionable either. I ended up staying and imbibing much longer than I anticipated. I'd go back again if in the area.“ |
