| 80 /100 The Beer Shop LTD (Beer Store) 33 HARKNESS AVE “Two years after the first review, the Beer Shop has expanded to larger space next door and has a limited wine selection. Beer selection is very thorough especially for so small a store, they have some stuff that the Big Store Across the River lacks, including fine imports and local brews. Local artisan brewers who can’t deal with the Big Store are well represented here. Tastings are a regular Friday feature and they offer the same discounts as the Big Store with a much easier experience and very much more familiarity with their products. This place makes the case for small specialty stores. I really can’t think of any down sides.“ |

Medium to large liqour store approx 20% beer, the majority of floor space being given over to wine.
Solid selection of beer, largely from the US, including a number of big beers such as Speedway Stout, Parabola and the like.
Prices were pretty decent, service prompt and friendly, although it was pretty quiet during our visit.
Well worth a stop.“ |

Mid size beer store with a solid selection spanning a good range of locals from MA and New England to beers from across the US and a decent offerings from Europe.
We visited during a meet the brewer event where 4 brewers were present, Lefty’s, Element, Brewmaster Jack and Westfield, all giving out a good range of samples, stickers and of course selling their own beers on top of the usual range in the store.
Solid bottle shop and if you can hit a meet the brewer even better!“ |

| 84 /100 The Beer Shop LTD (Beer Store) 33 HARKNESS AVE “Great new bottle shop in the west/central Mass area. Ive been looking for a nice place in this area for a while now and this place seems like it may be my new go to store with time. Nice space with bottles sorted by style. Not that cramped yet but I feel like they are going to pack that place full of craft beer once theyre open a little longer. The selection was surprisingly good being that they just opened. They had Firestone, Alesmith, Founders, Allagash, Lost Abby, etc. The mix 6 and mix 12 program is fantastic and you get a discount for doing it. Im looking forward to seeing how these guys evolve as a craft beer centric store. I hope they’re successful.“ |
