64 /100 Plough (Bar) GREEN END The main attraction of this pub is the massive garden which backs on to the river. The Plough is a gastropub which focuses more on the food than the beer, but they have a good selection none the less, including a bottle from Siren (Undercurrent) which is unusual for Cambridge pubs. Food is highly variable - I’ve had some of the best and worst pub meals in my life here, which I imagine is because the management changes quite frequently. Staff to their best to provide good service, but this place is often very busy, so they may not have a lot of time to spare. Irritatingly, food is only served inside and on the balcony, and not the garden. Worth the walk over once in a while. |
