60 /100 Plough Inn (Donnington) (Bar) MAIN STREET Visited on a Tuesday evening in August 2015. Situated in deepest darkest Gloucestershire, this is one of a series of Donnington pubs. It’s on a corner with car park over the road which means leaving the pub puts you in mortal danger.
Pub is very old, low beams, small rooms and real fires. Outside area with kids play area. Inside, it’s all about horses. There’s a gallop over the road, the racing was on TV.
2 beers, well kept. Food was really good. Prices decent despite the salubrious crowd. It’s a lovely spot to stop off at for food and a Donnington scoop. |
