“In a beer desert like Ethiopia (though a few of their macro lagers were drinkable), this was a nice detour. When we visited there were no organized tours of the brewery, but a really nice guy offered us a tour for free (interesting note: they use belgian malt from Dingemans) which finished in the so-called beer garden, which is basically a shack and a counter in the brewery’s front yard. Two beers on tap: the Dashen pale lager available throughout Ethiopia and the unfiltered version of the same beer, available only here. The patron was nice and keen on explaining everything about the beers, and the beers themselves were quite tasty and very cheap. Would go again.“
