“Really unique place not only for Munich but for beer drinking in Germany. Interior is very cosy with seating for 40 in an alpine lodge/Bavarian pub style. Small beer garden outback with a mini sand beach and funky antique tools and benches opening onto the majestic Wuerm river. When at the river’s edge you are suddenly totally secluded and forget there’s a busy road nearby. Service is friendly and efficient. Beer on tap is Augustiner Lagerbier Hell (what else???). Bottles include other Augustiner variations, Unertl wheat beers, and totally surprising: Uerige Alt and Frueh Koelsch! Very unusual for Munich. Food is decent, fresh, and affordable too. You can grab bottles to go from the bar for about 2 euros. Very useful since there are NO other kiosks or bottle shops in the area.“
