“Cool little place in the heart of the village. Street or parking lot parking for cheap outside. A couple dozen taps, but no flights and the full pours are rather expensive: $7-10. They’ll do free tasters. Interior is rustic / elegant. Definitely worth a stop when in town.“

“I give this top marks for ambiance, relative to other like establishments in the area. Fireplace in the winter, nice tables in the back. Selection is OK, but the food is very good for pub fare in this area. I would say near the top for what it is. Nice to have this place at the top of Greenwich Ave ("the Ave."). You could eat elsewhere on the Ave and just come for the beer and ambiance if not in the mood for pub fare. No complaints on the regulars, though you will get the hedge fund set if going for lunch. Worked on the Ave for 9 years, can’t say I EVER saw an investment banker. Watch it on Saturday mornings, I have seen large groups of realtors at that time. Lots of family’s and kids during the day on the weekends. What this place needs is a Tuesday night "quiz night" IMO. And a slightly larger selection of beers.“

“Crap selection. dont go. flew into White Plains airport and tried to search out some beer stores in the area. This one should not be on BA. No selection except average liquor store stuff. I kept walking around looking for the craft section. DO NOT GO.“

“Nice upscale restaurant and bar with an ok selection of brews. A very cool place with a lively crowd. There is a quieter, more formal area upstairs. It is a little pricey with beers being anywhere from $7 to $35. Food was pricey as well, but good.“

“I would have to agree with cletus on this one, the real standout is the fact that a place like this could survive in a town like greenwich. dont get me wrong, greenwich is a lovely town, but not exactly the kind of place you’d expect a bar like this, maybe a wine bar or something. so the real reason it is so "exceptional" is because of how unexpected it is. nice interior, dark stained wood and panels to give a tavern feel to it, decent menu that was actually not as expensive as i had thought it was going to be. tap list was fine, but nothing out of the ordinary for CT, bottle list was the same. talked to the manager for a quick second, and could tell he knew his beer lingo, but after asking what he advised for an IPA or belgian lover, he reccommended the captain lawerence kolsch which made me pause. overall not a bad place for where its located, if i lived in greenwich i would have this as my local, but outside of the town, its slightly above average.“

“The Ginger Man usually has 15-20 beers on tap with nice rare beers (Rogue, Cap’n Lawrence) but you are going to pay hefty Greenwich prices for their beers and food. Most drafts are $6 while Duvels, etc are much more. The bar staff is very knowledgeable and very warm and the food is good, despite being pricey. My only two complaints about the place is the price and the clientele. It mainly attracts a young, investment banker, private school educated crowd. However, since the place has its nooks, it’s easy to hide from the crowd.“

“Made a special trip to this Ginger Man with my wife while on vacation. I have been to the other Ginger Man pubs in Texas and was always very pleased with the service, selection and very knowlegable staff. The Greenwich Ginger Man did not disappoint. Greenwich is an upper crust (income-wise) community that you would not think would be able to sustain a beer bar but under expert management this place is just that. The interior is beautifully appointed with dark wood and polished brass and very, very clean. The manager Ben was behind the bar and was most enthusiastic about the 24 taps on hand There were some local brews available along with the Schneider-Brooklyn Hopfen Weisse which was superb. It was evident that this Ginger Man adheres to the philosophy of the chain...the taps were squeaky clean and Ben did advise me that everything was thoroughly sanitized every few days. The beer was served properly in sparking, room-temperature glassware which enhanced the beer evaluation proceess. The food was wonderful...my sife ordered the fish & chips and I had the wurst platter...high quality, excellently prepared. I would advise making a visit here especailly if you are with a wife or girlfriend...the village of Greenwich is very lovely. When we departed, Ben, the manager advised that we drive a short distance to Norwalk to visit the other Ginger Man there. See my review there.“

“Stopped here on my way home from Captain Lawrence. While there, I enjoyed a pint of Brooklyn Fortitude and La Chouffe hop-it. Those aside, there tap list was pretty average and only a standout if compared to the other bars in the local area. There was a decent bottle selection as well. The ambiance is typical of Greenwich with overpriced drinks and a bar that attempts to look the part of a tavern while catering to the locals. Worth a visit if you are there. Otherwise, a waste of time.“
