“Nice and cosy place! Mix of modern and rural elements, pleasing to the eye. On the beer menu a shitload of Gulden Spoor brewskies, alas more than half of those I asked for were not available. They told me they needed to update the menu. Was a bit frustrating, especially since I drove all the way down there for the specials. Anyway. Also a lot of other beers on the list, which gives them extra credit points. Service was very friendly and helpful. I liked the atmosphere on my day off. A lot of locals coming in, just to have lunch and a beer. I guess it’d be my hangout place too, if I lived there. Next time I definitely wanna try the food, but I didn’t have enough time, alas. Got a little private "tour" of the old brewery, as they were still constructing the new one. Also fun to run into Jef, the brewer from Oude Maalderij brewery who actually brews all of his own beers using their equipment. Will definitely visit again.“

“The first thing that came up in my mind when entering was "wow, nicely renovated farm" . And this was the vibe that was clear through the entire establishment. (the toilets even had hints of the old stables) The food looked amazingly delicious but we already had dinner on our way here. The beers they have were almost all coming from the Gulden spoor brewery just down the street. The waiter (whom was clearly affiliated wiht the brewery) that helped us was helpfull, if not a bit forcefull. He saw 77ships and kraddel with their notebooks and it ended up in him dictating how we should taste beer and in what order. In the end it was quite upsetting for one of my friends but I didn’t think too much of it, since these kinds of people have some wierd sense of pride that motivates them. Just one last thing I want to add => 77ships, next time DON’T forget your fucking coat please..........“

“Located close to some major roads but a pretty serious distance from Kortrijk this place is probably best visited by car it seems & they have their own clearly advertised parking lot. The place itself is gorgeous, upscale restaurant vibe, lots of wood, gorgeous architecture, classy bar. We didn’t eat there but we saw the food & it looked impeccable & utterly delicious. Most beers are served in wine glasses which I love. The most interesting thing beer-wise here is obviously all of the Gulden Spoor beers which they have here. The brewery is visible down the street. They are a nice brewery & the make interesting stuff. Unfortunately the availability of the Gulden Spoor beers really varies depending upon what was brewed most recently, some of the items on the menu were not available whilst some stuff was not listed. You need to inquire which is where things went a bit south for me. After inquiring we got a server who is affiliated with the brewery, he was very helpful. Also way too helpful in my opinion when he started dictating the tasting order, that I had to drink water in-between beers which beers it was best to order etc. I didn’t take it easily to be honest. If this was the brewery okay but in a bar, I am not a professional taster & I prefer to do a hobby for which I need to pay in my preferable fashion. Not sure if this service was a weird fluke or a regular happening if you get a tasting going at this place. They allowed take away, some people would really appreciate his help but I am just not one of them. There are obviously plenty of other beers available, solid selection but nothing really rare & the Gulden Spoor selection is obviously way more exiting.“

“Very cosy and very beautifull place in the middle of nowhere . Beerlist is nice , with good prices . No real raritys , except for beers by gulden spoor .. Service was very nice , but seemed a bit focused on us . Im not sure if everyone gets the priviledges we did ... Anyway , we got a realy nice service , but in his effort of trying to help us , he might have took it a hint to far , telling us how to drink in what order and what we should or shouldnt do . Best intentions , and with great knowledge , but a bit nervewracking for my friend ( 77ships) who was realy upset about this .. Personaly , i think its a great cosy place , nice service and good , not great , selection . I’d come back when im around here . The food looked great !“

“’t Rusteel heeft een bierkaart met ongeveer 300 soorten bieren. Dit volgen we nauwkeurig op, want de jongste jaren schieten de kleine brouwerijtjes als paddestoelen uit de grond. Ze maken goede bieren die wij aan onze klanten willen laten degusteren. Wij presenteren de bieren in het juiste glas en op de correcte temperatuur. Elke maand is er ook een bier van de maand. Dit wordt meestal van ’t vat getapt. “
