Gwynedd Harlech Beer Guide: Your Gwynedd Harlech guide to beer, beer bars, breweries and brewpubs

Latest reviews from Gwynedd Harlech

“At the sea-level part of Harlech where the golf course and caravan park are situated, it’s certainly handy if you are located here, but the tourist parts and the castle itself are up a steep winding road directly behind this place, so you won’t want to make this walk too many times if you’re here for some time. It’s a pub, restaurant and hotel, with a reception area for the latter, but there’s doors into the bar area here. The bar itself is against the back wall with two hand pumps offering local ales, but both very often seen in many establishments in North Wales. Has a keg ale too. There is a large car park on its south side.“

“Quite a large, rangy hostelry at the bottom of the 25% hill that heads up to the castle. There was a bit of grumpiness from the barman which was a little off putting on our visit, I think that they prefer to serve food. However; we got seated in the run down patio area. The beers were on the ropy side, having tried more than one, nothing was well kept. It could be good due to its locality to the Railway Station and Camping parks but not on our visit. Still the best available in Harlech though.“
