“Nothing farmish about this place, it’s more reminiscent of an Applebee’s or a JDW. Just two casks, both Moorehouse’s. Huge carpark, catering to passing trade I guess. No real reason to stopinless you’re staying here.“

“Just off the East Lancs road as part of a complex that includes a hotel (although there’s not much else around here to do other than sleep, eat and drink), this is a very ordinary chain pub-restaurant with extensive ground floor seating. I arrived on a Sunday evening and the place was heaving beyond being comfortable with 20 to 30 people queuing just for a table. I had only stopped for a drink and to check this place out, so never even bothered to try and compete with the very family oriented crowd just for a quick half given I was driving. On the way out the male half of a couple getting into their car commented that ’that was the most disgusting food I’ve ever had’. I never ate so can not confirm! There were three ales on during my visit.“

“standard food/beer deal pub. Handily located opposite a Travelodge, nice small selection of Moorhouse beers. Probably not worth a special trip but very handy for the Travelodge just off the M6.“
