“Located 1/2 mile from Hilo Brewing. Big restaurant feel with a big L shaped bar. 14 beers on tap. The food was good and fresh. Service was fast and friendly. Good, solid beers.“

“Small bar located in the brewery. A dozen picnic tables in the brewery and parking lot. 8 beers on tap, they have flights is all of them in 2.5oz jars. Beers were ok, nothing stands out.“

“Industrial feel right at the brewery. L-shaped bar. I had their beer flight sampler. The guy working was new to the area, but great. Selection is a good variety of their beers“

“Pretty far from the cruise port, but walked here. Run down pick up store. No service during my visit, but none needed. Descent selection from outside Hawaii, but not great Hawaii selections. No reason to come back.“

“12th December 2022, visited with my wife and two friends. Large, modern place on a corner plot, very busy at 14:00 mostly people eating. We just had flights! Nice vibe to the place, happy staff and even got given two miss pours because they knew I was ticking. Sadly one was a Hard Selser.“

“Visited here on 12th December 2022. My good lady, myself and two friends. No flights, but an interesting tap choice for a visiting Brit. This is a popular locals Burger place and only has a couple of bar stools, they were happy to let us have a table though. Liked it.“

“Small tasting room and production facility in Hilo. They have some tables outside the warehouse that you can sit at. They had 8 beers on tap (a couple that they don't bottle). Beers are ok but nothing really stuck out. Not the best ambiance but it's something!“

“Warehouse brewery in Hilo. Small bar inside the brewery with some cans in a cooler. They had 8 taps and I, of course, got a flight of everything. They pour everything in little plastic sauce cups and serve them on a cafeteria tray, oh well. Not sure about the exact price of the tasters since we also ordered a full pour with the flight, but seemed like probably around $2-3 each, so not horrible. Unfortunately, the beers were all pretty...bad. Oh well. Not a place I would make a return trip to. Would only really recommend coming here if you want the ticks.“

“New taproom in Hilo, not too far from Hilo Brewing. Similar aesthetics and decor to the Kailua-Kona taproom, though everything here is in one big L-shaped space. Plenty of bar seating and tables with a small patio/waiting area. The beer list and food menu are similar to Kona, but with a few differences--somethings available at one but not the other. Good mix of beers, ciders, teas, and seltzers. They have a number of parking spaces in the lot behind the building, but parking on the street could be a problem if they were super busy. Definitely worth a stop, but probably not necessary to go to both unless you're a degenerate like me, or they have something you really want at one but not the other.“

“Great place in Hilo, just come by needing wifi access and made this great discovery. They have about 20 beers on tap, most of them local which is great for tourists like me that want to drink local. After seeing the joint I had also diner with a nice Jazz Band playing. Staff is super nice, helping me with some pending thing I had for my trip. Don't miss the place if you are in the area!“

“Very good burgers, using local great fresh meat. Beer selection is not impressive. I had to drink my Mehana beer out of a Coor’s glas, that tells you a lot about the beer culture this place has. However the service is very friendly and the food outstanding, so come here not for the beer but for the burgers.“

“(Visited 12/2010): Visited Hilo Burger during a stop on the big island on our cruise vacation. It is located in Hilo near the state park on Kilauea. Street parking is pretty accessible in the area. The interior is laid out with the bar on the left side and table seating on the right. We sat at a booth at a window looking out at the street, mostly because the place was pretty dimly lit for lunch. The bar boasts an ornate mirror and the beer list is located on the far back wall. There is also a stage. Hilo’s advertising boasted 21 taps but in reality there are only about 6, and only a couple of those are craft beers, Hawai’i Nui and Long Hammer. The twelve or so bottled options are pretty much all macros. Not sure if they are deliberately getting away from microbrews or if we just visited at a bad time but either way the selection is a letdown. Service however was courteous and efficient on a slow weekday lunch. There honestly was not much to talk about beer-wise but outside of that we were treated well. Hilo Burger does have good burgers though. Both of our burgers were cooked correctly and had flavorful toppings. Overall I would not recommend this place solely on beer. However if you want a decent burger and are happy with maybe one or two craft beer options it is worth checking out.“

“Right next to K’s drive inn. Prices are rather attractive considering you’re nowhere near the Kona Costco! Very laid back service... they let you wander; but as a tourist I liked their offerings and variety considering there wasn’t much to be found in Hilo. A good number of Hawaiian and USA micros but and equivilant number of sakes. Crazy sakes!“
