“It's quite hard for me to rate this place. Naturally, being the first and only brewery in the town I was born and raised in, I have to be harsh on it as I expect the best. Being in a small pretentious midwest town, I am shocked the community even allowed a brewery to open here. That said, I want them to do extremely well so I have something to be proud of from Holdrege...plus I need someone to brew my 10k beer when I get there. Having been open for only a little over a month, I am not terribly impressed from the start, but not because the beer is bad or the owners don't have potential, but because they must brew what pleases the masses here and I think it stifles what they are capable of. That I sadly understand. The owners are engineers from Michigan? who moved here to work at BD, the medical manufacturer in town. They must have realized how crappy that place is to work so they were smart and opened a brewery. Unfortunately, this town can't support craft beer from the eyes of a local who understands this town. Again, I hope they do well, but I can't imagine they will stray from boring bland styles. The place itself was in fairly rough shape. The facade looks nice but the rest is pretty old and run down. Not necessarily a bad thing, just the style they rolled with. Very spacious in the back but hardly any tables. They could easily fit another 10 tables (20-30 people) but they haven't yet. The building is old and run down and the floor is very unlevel. Almost like the foundation is sinking. Windows to the back brewing area shows that they don't have a lot of capacity and not a ton of room to grow either unless they take over the empty seating area from what I can tell. Which means more beer but even less seating.. They have 6 beers on tap of which you can order a flight of 5. It comes out to $1.50 for a 5 oz sample which I am almost sure is a 4 oz glass. To get that 6th 5oz pour it goes up from $1.50 to $2.50. A bit absurd considering a pint is only $4. I would love to see them have 4 regular brews and 4 seasonal rotations. Other than the 6 beers, they have free peanuts, pretzels, and popcorn. They have a popcorn machine that when it's running overtakes the building with butter fumes. Like I said, I am complaining a lot about this place, but only because I expect the best from my now hometown brewery. I hope they succeed but I don't think Holdrege will allow them to grow to their potential.“

“A decent selection of craft beers and international beers for being a small town grocer.“

“While it’s just a grocery store in a small town, they have lately been getting more and more good craft beers. They recently started carrying Sierra Nevada and Deschutes which is a huge step in the right direction.“

“Limited options for a small town. So basically it’s here or no where. They have about 2 coolers with craft beer options. Prices are inconsistent. Some things are way overpriced others are very reasonable.“
