| 86 /100 Sjøgata Pub (Bar) SJØGATA 20 “Finally, I got to taste beers brewed in Honningsvåg. At my last visit in town back in 2006 there was a micro brewery called Nordkapp Mikrobryggeri. It closed down in 2009 I think, and the last years operating their beers were often not on tap, as at my visit back in those thays. My luck was far better i 2020! Sjøgata Pub and their brewery Nordkapp Nano Brewey, had 5 beers on tap and one in bottle. I enjoyed them all! Superb service from the young woman at work this afternoon. I asked and got beer labels of all my six beers. Nice service. After a change of shoes and clothing I hiked Storefjell, the mountain raising up from Honningsvåg. A revisit at Sjøgata Pub and a pint of "Tangsprell" was my reward. A great place in a small town. Would like to revisit but sadly it is 2366 km by car, If you take the shortest route via Sweden and a bit of Finland. Damn! (Visited July 17th 2020)“ |

| 80 /100 Sjøgata Pub (Bar) SJØGATA 20 “After talking about early modern witchcraft in the north at Perleporten Kulturhus, we went downstairs to their pub. On my stay they had four of their own beers, three on draught and one in a bottle. Two more beers from Mack Brewery on the taps. Their own beers can be bought in a sample tray of four beers with 200ml in each. Fair prices. So far the beers from Nordkapp Nano Brewery can only be bought at this pub, however expanding plans are in progress. A cozy little cellar-like pub in warm interiors with decorated walls. This one, however. stocks beers from Nøgne Ø, Haandbryggeriet, a few German ones and a good range of craft beers from the Mack brewery. Mack beers on tap as well. L-shaped bar and room. Great live rockabilly music with the Fat Rats at my stay. Good vibe and atmosphere. Polite service. Central location just a few minutes from where the coastal ship (Hurtigruten) docks.“ |
