64 /100 114-116 CRANBROOK ROAD Large pub, enough brews on tap. Not crowded during my visit. Bit outdated. I reckon it can be fairly crowded on weekends. (16-5-2019). |
68 /100 114-116 CRANBROOK ROAD Perhaps the most egotistically named Wetherspoon pub in the chain, but to be fair its not a bad one considering its in the midst of urban concrete suburb east London. In the High Street it has much more depth to it than width but this works in its favour as it has booth table seats throughout the length of its walls that lead all the way to the small rear garden area. This provides a fine look especially as its a traditional chink in the chain with warming carpets that compliment the mid-wood panels, furniture and bookshelves that are also abundant in most booth areas. This leaves little room for the usual local history information frames but there’s a fair number of photographs of Ilford old to enjoy. You can also enjoy two rows of rotating ales on pumps at the bar. |
