60 /100 FERRY ROAD
“Large pub in its own building close to the Manchester Ship Canal but only accessible through the town and not via the main A57 road. It has a large main area that is open plan but full of pillars or wooden partition walls between tables so there’s plenty of intimate or places that offer space from others to sit at. It’s a more than comfortable location to enjoy. The bar is central in the pub and the other smaller room but equal in design is on the other side of the serving area and shows the live football. It has 4 cask ale pumps offering a very north-west selection, but you might want to try the keg variety here as it includes Greenalls Mild, a very hard to find ale nowadays. There’s a large car park and some outside seating.“
