“We ate at the restaurant within the Harbour Inn. I asked re Islay Ales available and they said they had none currently and a list of ubiquitous big brands was rhymed off. So in terms of beer selection it seems to have taken a step backwards. The food and the whisky list were very good to stunning, however. “

“The rather snug Schooner bar is located in the Harbour Inn, across the road from the Bowmore distillery. As you may expect the focus is whisky with a rather impressive list to choose from. The tables also happen to be Bowmore barrels! They also have 2 Islay Ales on cask here at all times to pace yourself between all those whiskies. The local seafood is excellent also. Worth a visit (mostly for the whisky & food).“
