60 /100 117 W LOUIS GLICK HWY Huge place that was nearly empty on a Saturday night at 8:45. Had a flight beer was not bad. Prices are good. |
78 /100 117 W LOUIS GLICK HWY A really cool spot in downtown Jackson. Large space with a deli counter that serves as a to go / merchandise area and a large seating area with a bar along the one side. A few non invasive TVs as well. Service was good. About 12 beers on tap with flights available. Food menu was very intriguing but passed on this visit. Beer prices were low. Overall, impressed by the place. |
72 /100 3090 SHIRLEY DR No food. Not much ambiance, fluorescent lights and formica tables.
The beer though, is very good. Best in Jackson.
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. |
96 /100 Cork ’n Cap (Beer Store) 904 LANSING AVENUE Great place for wine and beer supplies! |
68 /100 Super Liquor (Beer Store) 1200 WEST MICHIGAN AVENUE Stopped in while driving through Jackson. Decent size store with large craft beer selection. Mostly 6-packs and bombers of american craft beers and singles of imports. Would be a lot better if they broke up some of those sixers and made a nice single selection. Has sort of a gas station ambiance. Nice selection for location but not what I consider to be very good after being spoiled in Chicago and Detroit. |
52 /100 Super Liquor (Beer Store) 1200 WEST MICHIGAN AVENUE no sense in arguing. i dont know how to erase this rating though. never been there, cant comment on this store. |
76 /100 Super Liquor (Beer Store) 1200 WEST MICHIGAN AVENUE One of the only places i buy beer in Jackson. Awesome selection of beer and mead. Owners are somewhat friendly. End up buying two or three six packs each time I visit here. Great selection of singles, belgins, ales, most everything you will find here. |
78 /100 Cork ’n Cap (Beer Store) 904 LANSING AVENUE Have been in here several times, owner was at a beer tasting event with a buddy of mine. Decent selection of brewing supples, bread, wine. Beer selection is also good, creating your own six pack is a plus. Picked up some rare dogfish and other locals. Worth a stop, friendly service. |
74 /100 Super Liquor (Beer Store) 1200 WEST MICHIGAN AVENUE It’s not every day that you stumble upon a place called "Super Liquor" that ends up being a beer haven, but this is just such a place. A friend first discovered Super Liquor when we were students at (somewhat) nearby Albion College, and I remember being amazed by the beer selection as I had not at that time seen anything like it. Well, I decided to try my hand at finding Super Liquor while in the area today and my beer compass, despite a couple misfirings, finally got me there! And my recollection was correct. Super Liquor carries a wide selection of microbrews, including out-of-state offerings from the likes of Rogue and Dogfish Head. Michigan is nicely represented with an outstanding selection of Bell’s beers, including some that are often hard to find, as well as Founders, Arcadia, New Holland, and plenty of Dark Horse. They also carry a few Michigan brews I can’t get in Grand Rapids, including a nice selection from Leopold Bros., a few Atwater brews, and Michigan Brewing Co.’s Celis Grand Cru (why isn’t this in West Michigan?). Import selection includes the standard English and German offerings as well as a decent variety of Belgian beers (focusing on lambics and Unibroue’s line). The major drawback is that six-packs can’t be broken (hence, the singles selection is limited for American micros). This is one store that is a must-stop if you’re in the area. |
