“Why is this here? Best locally made wine IMO, no beer. Nice winery to visit“

“Stopped in for lunch and had a flight. Nice place has doors that can open in the summer- out from downtown a bit and no longer next door to the Grove hotel. Food was good and beer seemed pretty good will happily go back.“

“Banded Goose Taproom around the block from Jacks/Goose Kitchen . Nice bar with some seating. Lot more choices for drafts 12 on draft. Staff really nice. Food truck with burgers and some others choices for food. The burgers and food we had are really good. Beer has been variable. Last time I went the beer had improved significantly. Get a flight or taster first. Nice place to have beers and watch a game. Music on Friday and Saturday. Canned beer to go. Best quality beer in town right now.“

“Had dinner and stayed at the Inn (3 rooms) upstairs after hitting wineries on the way into town. Was feeling really good when we arrived, came in, got our room, had wine from the room while waiting for our dinner reservations (make sure you get them) then had dinner and beer. At the end of the night, we walked upstairs. The food was great, and the staff were very nice. They had 8 taps 4 banded goose, 4 taps were other Ontario brewers, one from Walkerville. Had a banded goose IPA and Golden ale- solid beers. They had a " ginger" ale and cherry stout I passed on. For dinner had Lake Erie Perch. Room was nice. Great time, great area, this is a cool drinking destination. They do have a Banded Goose tap room around the block, as is Kingsville brewing.“

“2022-08-13. Not the best first impression to be honest / possibly not the most representative review. I was getting hangry by the time we arrived, and we apparently needed a reservation to get a proper table. (There seemed to have been some kind of music event happening earlier so this may have just been how it works today?) It was busy so I was paranoid about siting inside at the bar even though they had the big garage doors open. (That was a me choice in fairness.) The picnic table seating in the parking lot seating had a limited menu and very limited beer list. (Only four of the 12 beers available inside - two fruited beers, a coffee blonde, and a Vienna Lager. So only one unflavoured beer available.) The food actually turned out to be pretty decent with tough but very tasty ribs (I think we may have been served a double portion so it was a better deal than was listed on the menu), a delicious cob of corn, and “Indi-nachos” - zesty cheese Doritos with shredded butter chicken and toppings, served in the bag, that were pretty good. I suspect would have been impressed less if I was less hungry but it worked out food wise. Inside is a relatively big space, loud shiny and new with views of the tanks. Walk in cooler room to pick up your own beer to go beer was kind of fun. It’s fine… I’m cranky and tired and I suspect I’d like it a lot more when it’s less busy, or if I’m in a better mood, or if the beers were better and I was therefore more motivated to put up with the other quirks. I'll come back if I am in town again and give it another try.“

“2022-08-13. Nice little shop with produce, snacks, baked goods. We came specifically to get beer from Top Dog Brewing - This is currently the only retail outlet for their beer? - and I didn’t actually think to check what other alcohol they carry. Friendly staff. Tasty baked goods. Not sure if they make them on site? Probably not actually but they were good. Would have bought more fruit but we didn't have ice and we were driving around all day. Scoring it a bit lower overall as a BEER destination but would recommend checking it out if you are in the area. “

“2018-04-27. Stopped in here with no expectations, and was pleasantly surprised. There was a 40 minute wait for a table on a Friday night - reservations recommended apparently - so we sat at the cozy little bar. They have a farm-to-table menu sourcing everything locally and we shared excellent perch po boy and probably the best coleslaw I've had in my life! So good it made me wish I was hungrier! The beers are decent, three of their own on today and a mix of Ontario craft beers for about 8-10 taps IIRC. Friendly bartender. The rest of the building is in a huge old Victorian (?) house with a warren of seating options. Patio outside for warmer weather. Nice spot.“

“Amazing Place! Honestly! worth the visit if you’re in the area. It is a gastropub with 3 rooms above so one can just walk up to their room after a hard nights tasting. Amazing food, decent beer selection of ontario/regional brews and they have a few brews that they brew in house (however they were out of their own beer when I was there). Great staff, very fun. if you’re visiting Pelee Island i’d take the extra time to drive here and stay here for the night.“
