“As Ogi said, a relatively small place, in the suburbs of Varaždin, looking more spacious on the outside than it is inside, flaunting its homemade beer, with, for some reason Ožujsko-drinking locals, eyeing us "suspiciously" from the table outside. Their beer’s a steal at 6kn (around 80 euro cents) a liter for the pale, and 8kn (a notch over one euro) for the dark, which, initially a brilliant dark lager, took a big hit in the meantime, still being a correct beer, but not the sublime experience it once was. The pale lost its once overbearing yeastiness (strangely enough, while not being filtered anymore) and is, especially for the price, pretty good. Anyway, ok service, but try to bring your own plastic bottles for takeout, they might be out od prebottled stuff. Not 100% sure if English is spoken, but it probably is. Oh, and they joined the bottled radler fad... Didn’t try the food, their pizza should be ok from what I’ve heard. Anyway, ok overall, worth visiting if you’re in the area, a great place to stock up on beer if you’re going out drinking in Varaždin.

If coming by car from Zagreb by the highway, turn right/north, when you have the chance, for Gornji Kućan, and when you reach it, just follow the signs to Kućan Marof and you’ll end up in the correct street. The brewpub will be on the left/west side.“

“There is adequately place for not more then 20 people, looks like ordinary rural bar, there is no food at all. Kahli’s beers could be bought elsewhere only in one pub in Varaždin, both on tap“
