“So these guys opened up around the end of 2017. Place is in an industrial neighborhood, surrounded by auto-body shops. Inside is really nice, with a really well put together outside area that is fenced in with privacy fences. Staff was really nice, and helpful.

Parking was a bit of a hassle until I realized that there was a dedicated lot for the place about half a block away. Just look for the large signs for it if you can't find immediate street parking.

I was impressed by the quality of the beer for a place so new, especially when they had ~14 of their own beers on tap from the get-go. That can sometimes spell trouble with them trying to do too many things at once at the beginning. I'm only in town about once a year, but I'll be sure to keep them in mind next time I'm here.“

“Finally got to this home brew/bottle shop and bar. It was what everyone told me...a hole in the wall. (I’d take this over a Yardhouse or World of Beer any day though.) It is primarily a home brew store. Secondarily it is a retail bottle shop. They had a decent, but limited selection. I did find a couple The Bruery beers I wanted and a couple Cigar City beers. Third, the bar is small, quaint and with a selection of about 8 drafts. Good selection overall. Friendly, low key staff. Overall value was fine. I’ll be back!“

“The place is under new ownership since the last review. Very homey feel to the place as you might expect from a place called the Cottage. They have a decent selection on tap including Blue Point, Cigar City, Shiner and Dogfish Head stuff. The food is excellent. Service was good but not entirely knowledgeable and the prices are good too.“

“BX is a home brew supply store/bottle shop/bar. The home brew supply side of things is the essentials. Perfect for getting started. But they are overpriced compared to online. Bottle selection for takeout is pretty good with some things that are harder to find. Only there is no pricing listed on any of them. Sally is nice and Corey is the man there. Super nice and very knowledgeable. The backyard tiki bar is very homey feeling and they do get some good stuff on tap to have or get a growler fill of.“

“When I arrived for the CCB wood aged beer tasting/presentation, all that went through my mind was "the place is a trailer... just a trailer. How will this thing work? Forty people inside THAT?" Hell, ten people inside the place seemed a stretch when looking at it from my vantage point. Well, the staff was a bit overwhelmed and the overall selection was adequate, but not great... I think (I didn’t pay much mind to it), but the event was pulled off without a hitch. What I didn’t notice when I pulled up to park was the large tent and beer garden - complete with a bar and thirty or so chairs around plastic tables BEHIND the trailer. Again, I didn’t pay much attention to the overall selection, but it’s not a place I’ll hit up too often due to its location... unless they have something on tap that I really want a growler of. Nothing wrong with the place. I like it. Quaint.“

“Small place that is first and formost a homebrew spot (apparently there is a bar in back but I’ve yet to check it out). The bottle selection is small but diverse. Found a couple brews that I hadn’t seen down here before (see Total Wine). I can see myself stopping in every month or so to see if they have anything new and exciting.“

“Beer slection was focuse on the more random beers, which I liked. For instance, I bought two Magic Hat’s that I had never seen before- the only place I know of to carry something other than #9. The best part is that they fill growlers. Only place in the state to do it. Plus, it’s cheap, $5 for the 1 gallon jug and $25 for the fill of Cigar City Patio Tools. That automatically raised the overall to 20. Hard to find, tho, because the building looks abandoned from the outside. They should paint it.“

“First off as a homebrew store they are very over priced. You can buy everything online for less including shipping. Also they don’t carry anything but the bare essentials for brewing, few yeast choices, no brewing spices, limited specialty grains. What saves the place is that there beer selection is small but very good. They carry excellent beers not available at other places in South Florida. As with the brewing supplies you’ll pay too much for them and the staff seems to know very little about there selection, but it is a place any serious beer drinker should check out from time to time.“

“The place is an old convenience store that has been converted to a liquor store. The service is not bad but they are not very beer savvy and several of the beers I bought were not priced and they didn’t know the prices. The selection is great if your looking for beers from Asia or Central and South America. There is one big problem, most of the beers in stock are many years old (covered in dust) so make sure you check them carefully. They do have fresh beers of the common stuff however. The prices were all over the place on the things that had prices so I can’t say they are cheap but it wasn’t crazy. The place reminds me of Beer World Of Largo before they cleaned up their stock just not as many beers.“

“This place has just opened where the Dirty Dwarf used to be, and has some of the same staff. A good selection of Unibrou, Samuel Smith, Orval, and some decent pilsners. Helpful and friendly staff, and nice outdoor seating.“

“I was excited to hear they had Three Philosophers, well when I went, they were out. So I ordered a Great White draft, out! So I ordered a Sam Adam’s Cherry Wheat, OUT. I got a gin and tonic, then came back and ended up with a Budweiser Stout, pretty horrible. I can understand running out of product, it happens. Staff didn’t seem to know anything about beer. Good live music, the food looked good. I’ll have to try it again when i come back down south.“
