“Industrial park brewer. I wanted to go here last year, but the 1 day I was in the area they were closed for a private event. Glad I made it out finally! IPAs, BA big boys, sours, and more. It was busy as it is a smaller tap room but founda a spot to sit in the back room. Would defintely stop by if in the area and I will be back.“

“Industrial park location, smallish, but cool taproom. Order at the bar, find your own seating. Not much except for what you have inside. Deep taplist, a lot of IPAs. Mellow vibe included tickers and families alike. Stellar beers.“

“Just realized I'd never rated Icarus on places, so here we go. They have a nice little tap room in an industrial area. Not too large, but it can hold a few people. Decent outside setup now too, not great, but as good as they could do with what they have to work with. Ton's of beer is usually on here, covering many of the styles (though certainly focused on IPAs and Stouts), and they've been making great stuff lately. Been really upping their lager game lately, and they've had barley wines, saisons, and other styles roll through too. Usually have at least one kettle sour from their Drinking X for some meal series these days too. Additionally, I believe they usually have on slushies and other stuff like that if that's your thing. They've announced a now spot that should eventually replace this one, but we all know how long that kind of move takes, so I'm guessing they'll stay here for a while.“

“Industrial area. Packed with locals. Beers were serviceable. Food truck nearby was clutch.“

“Visited Icarus today to (re) complete my ongoing visit to every NJ brewery & brewpub (4th time I’m "done" but this will change again in a month or so with more openings). Arrived 12:30 right after the daylight savings time change...so beat the crowds early on a Sunday...lol! Looks just like your average industrial park warehouse brewery from the outside...but there are surprises inside. There is a nice front taproom...with bar and tables...but then another bar area out in the brewery. The brewery has something like 20ft ceilings and the space is impressive. There is a very large mural on one wall...a great Icarus themed rendering. They have an oversized 10 bbl brew deck along with two 10 bbl and two 20 bbl fermenters. The crew here is great...especially Josh...bartender and artist for the brewery. I was also fortunate to have met and spent time talking to the owner Jason. He gave me the cook’s tour and a lot of insight to his history and plans for the brewery (spent time brewing in England and at Rinn Duin among other places). As for the beers...loved the Ella Ella IPA featuring the namesake hops plus Cascade. Also notable was the Birdie Scotch Ale and the Sunwalker Smoked Pilsner. I enjoyed the Panic Pale Ale on Randall with mango & habanero. I would be remiss if I didn’t also mention the Old Fashion soda they made from whiskey barrel water...with orange and cherry flavors (like and Old Fashioned)...original...and a very nice novelty. They’ve been open 2 month now and I expect very good things from them going forward. Just spend a little time talking to Jason and you will quickly agree. (Sure hoping Ed5388 updates his review very soon since they took care of him...that "24" rating is really hurting the score of this really great new brewery)“

“Neat place that has a front tap room and a brewery tap room creating two individual experances. Good selection for a new brewery and some really good solid beers. They can only get better.“

“Brewery has a nice chill atmosphere. Great artwork on some of the walls. Lots of beers on tap (recently added more taps). 14 beers total including some randalled versions. Every beer I’ve had so far was solid. Nice staff and friendly dog at the bar. Met the owner Jason who is a really nice guy and cares a lot about his customers. Glad I revisited and got to try more of their offerings this time around. A brewery defenitly worth checking out.“

“Upfront: I have only visited once, and I am not very familiar with distribution in the area. That said, I was much more impressed with the selection at some of the Spirits Unlimited stores in the area. Beer is 1 aisle towards the left (from the entrance). Half refrigerated, half warm storage. Seemingly good selection of east coast beers, but not much in the way of locals (I guess Carton and Kane don’t distribute much). Nothing too impressive. Parking is easy, Pricing is fair. The person at the cash register was somewhat surly. Overall a bit under whelmed. The Spirits Unlimited on 37 had a much better (albeit less refrigerated) selection, friendlier staff (on my visit), and growlers fills.“

“Great staff, will spend time with you if you like. Free beer blast tastings on Tuesday. Free wine tastings daily with free card. Decent craft beer section with a large amount of them in the cooler. They now sell singles, a six pack is 10% discount. They do not seem to have a staff member who knows beer right now. Update......Amy can help out in the beer section now. Update Aug 2014, sad news Amy is leaving and possible new owners let’s hope they keep the craft self space and get a beer person in.“

“Decent craft beer selection with a nice employee that will be more than glad to help you. Some times I find some beer that is long in the tooth. Only the big brands seem to rate cooler space. Older crowded store that added a corner of craft beers. Single bottles and empty six pack holders on the wall for making a mix six. UPDATE. Sept 2015. They expanded the beer area and it looks like they increased cooler space. Two rows of industrial shelving have been installed . Beer selection has grown to maybe the second biggest in Ovean County. Also of note to whiskey/whisky fans is the huge selection of whiskeys noted to be largest in Jersey and it looks to be. Not that it matters to me but store and surrounding area is still ugly. Prices seem to be a bit lower than others in area. Employees still friendly and helpful.“

“Decent selection and great service. Heavy on the US-based breweries. Interesting selection of single 12-oz. bottles...a nice way to sample a few without overcommitting. Worth a stop if you are in the area. Oh, and very good prices!“

“A decent selection of craft beers. There’s a better variety at the Wine Academy in Manalapan. That said, good finds here and a nice refrigerated selection.“

“Have’nt been to this store in a while, was in the area and went in for a quick 6 pack and was amazed at the selection, stayed for half hour looking. Prices are good, so is the service. Worth the trip, best selection I’ve come across.“
