78 /100 Knighton Londis (Grocery Store) 171 KNIGHTON CHURCH ROAD This is one hell of a find. I've seen corner shops with a reasonable craft beer selection but this is summat else. Amundsen, Tiny Rebel, Cloudwater... and whatever you think of Beavertown these days, you have to admit that four collabs and a Tempus Project is a decent find. They had a sale on, so I came away with Uerige Sticke and Doppelsticke plus an Anchor Breckles Brown for £7.60. Even without the sale prices they're pretty damn cheap. Worth checking out and supporting. |
66 /100 Cradock Arms (Bar) 201 KNIGHTON ROAD Decent community pub on the edge of Leicester. I've listed it as in Knighton as its close enough to Knighton, but it's just at the very bottom of Queens Road. Open plan with friendly service. The regular Everards line-up plus a couple of guest casks and a cider. Longhorn and Curious Brew on tap, plus a couple of bottles (many Everards pubs seem to carry Anchor Steam these days so that's my go to). Missing the vibrancy and the (slightly) expanded beer choice of similar Everards pubs such as the Old Horse, but worth checking out if in the area. Spitting distance from UoL's College Court conference centre. |
80 /100 Knighton Londis (Grocery Store) 171 KNIGHTON CHURCH ROAD Rather good find in leafy St Mary Mead. Great selection of cans, with particularly strong range of Cloudwaters, plus classic Belgian bottles and Uerige Sticke. Good prices too. Deffo worth seeking out, plus not too far from The Offie. |
