60 /100 Bailey’s Bar and Grille (Bar) 6922 EMILIE ROAD This is for the bottle shop portion ... Nicely renovated area with three taps for sampling and six packs and singles to go .... The single selection is mostly large 22oz bottles with three or four rows of 12oz ... nothing rare just mostly micro US stuff and the standard macro ... not a bad place but nothing crazy .... foods always good at the bar the girl behind the counter was very nice and had tried the beers herself so was nice to swap opinions |
54 /100 Bailey’s Bar and Grille (Bar) 6922 EMILIE ROAD Nice local bar that seem’s to be updating it’s beer selection. Mostly macro beers, good food. Tends to be packed on weekends. |
56 /100 Ruger’s Beer and Soda Inc. (Beer Store) 4369 NEW FALLS ROAD Not really sure why anyone added this place the owners sold and now its run by a very nice foreign family .... they have all the macros you want and a small selection of seasonals and micro’s .... they have a small walk in that has mostly macros cold ... smokes cokes and macros you may find something to bring to a party that is micro but easy drinking |
66 /100 Penn Thrift Inc. (Beer Store) 6901 NEW FALLS ROAD Have been going to this store for years .... a big warehouse beer distributor ... the owner keeps macro stuff cold in the small cooler and has mostly macro in the floor area with seasonals as well ... has a section in the back with micros and some international macros and a small area of some hard to find 80 dollar and up cases of belgians ... stock up on some snacks, cigars or cigs and the staff is very friendly |
60 /100 McStew’s Irish Pub (Bar) 5316 NEW FALLS ROAD Have never gone to the bar, I usually grab take out... They have the usual macro crap, but they always carry a decent selection of micro’s and imports. They also have a small section of gift packs so in a pinch this is a good spot. Cash only, but they do have an ATM. |
58 /100 McStew’s Irish Pub (Bar) 5316 NEW FALLS ROAD A friend of mine used to work here. We would stop in sometimes and have a beer. Always had a tap or two of something that was not a macro. Usually something sort of local or at least PA. Lots if TV’s and high ceilings. Gets very busy but we sit at the bar. Lots of regulars. A good place for the area. Food looks good but I never stayed to eat. Pretty good menu and the chef I hear is really good and has some specials. |
34 /100 Bailey’s Bar and Grille (Bar) 6922 EMILIE ROAD Place was packed so service was hard to come by. They had imperial storm king, that was a surprise but mostly macro beers.. Food was good. |
56 /100 McStew’s Irish Pub (Bar) 5316 NEW FALLS ROAD Stegosaur turned me on to this place. (There is not much going on in our area)
I think they are down to 16 taps and yes most are macro but they surprisingly have 2 rare brews that change I think either every month or every other. Good variety of food service is ok. |
60 /100 McStew’s Irish Pub (Bar) 5316 NEW FALLS ROAD 19 taps, 15 different beers, although most are macro, they have 2 rotating rare finds, excellent food and surroundings, i counted 20+ t.v.’s. they have a normal bar room, and a night club on otherside, plenty of spacing. lots of food specials everyday, and beer specials, bigger specials for sporting events. this place was big, so it kept it from being to smokey. 3 pool tables, and a big screen t.v. they use for football games. |
38 /100 Bailey’s Bar and Grille (Bar) 6922 EMILIE ROAD Great food, beer is mostly all marco-brewed ( i did see some some victory & some dogfish head), lots of age groups, service is good, selection is not though. |
