“On a main road on the southern fringes of Leyland where it starts to become leafy, this is an older styled pub in appearance with a slightly more updated traditional decor on the inside. It's open plan with lots of posts and small supporting walls obscuring views throughout, but there's plenty of room in this front facing venue. The bar is against the back wall and includes 8 hand pumps, all sporting regular brews from the Marstons family range, which can be found throughout the UK, although they also currently have Mansfield Dark on keg, which might be of interest to some. There's a small car park on the opposite side of the road, but I don't think it's specifically the pub's. Packed on a Saturday night in early Novemember, curiously with about a dozen people dressed up as Santas and Elves!“

“Recently refurbished and reopened. No food on offer but the word is that the landlord is okay with bringing in food from the many takeaways nearby. Since refurb, this pub can get pretty darned busy. The selection of real ales was okay last time I went in, but a bit steep price-wise.“

“Comfortably decorated Wetherspoon with a central brick open fire to enjoy in the colder months. It has a considerable patio at the rear although relatively small inside compared to others of this chain outlets. The usual food and two rows of ales are available.“

“A Marston’s pub on the outskirts of Leyland. Quite roomy, 2 Jennings and a Marstons ale on when I visited. Worth popping in if in the area“
