Ariston Cafe (Restaurant)
413 N OLD ROUTE 66
“(Visited 10/2011): Ariston Cafe is a historic spot (on the National Register of Historic Places) located on Old Rte 66 and Union. There is a decent-sized private lot. The interior has table seating in the middle and a small counter bar. Decor touting the history of the place. Ariston’s beer selection is relatively small but solid. All options are bottled and include Goose Island, Crown Valley, Schlafly, Sam Adams, Anchor and Founders. A couple other macros as well. Service at the cafe is good. Friendly server without a lot of beer knowledge, which is to be expected. The food menu is varied with Italian, salads, sandwiches, seafood etc. My food was good as was my colleagues’. Overall this is by no means a beer destination but more an "any port in a storm" situation. All in all a friendly historic diner with some solid beer choices.“
