“Great place to have a few beers. Street parking - usually can find a place on side street.“

“Visited here early on Saturday afternoon in mid-May '24. Nice digs in an old, restored building. Lots of exposed brick, black pipes etc. a dozen or so high-top tables inside, some picnic tables out back. There is a permanent food truck parked outside, did not try it out. Have a few TVs, but not obtrusive. Have about a dozen of their own on tap, a few guest taps. Several styles represented, I had an IPA and an Amber Lager, both pretty solid. Prices very reasonable, range from $5 to $7 a pop. Great place really enjoyed it.“

“Monnik Beer Company took over the old Zeppelin Cafe space a few years ago, and have established themselves as a top tier brewpub/gastropub in the Louisville area ever since. The interior is full of dark wood and tile, accented by their bowling alley lane tables; a callback to their Beer Engine days in Danville. That establishment began it’s life in an old bowling alley. In the rear of the building is a nice sized patio that remains in the shade of the building for most of the day; a lovely spot in the warmer months. A small gift shop with various Monnik paraphernalia resides at the front right of the building. ——— In my numerous visits, service is friendly and attentive without being smothering. An effort is made here by the waitstaff to know the beers under their nose, and to be able to make comparisons to national brands for the uninitiated. ——— Their selection is where they really shine. Of all the breweries in Louisville, they may do the best job of having something for everyone. They make a very accessible light lager (Hauck’s); flagships that tend towards traditional British and continental styles (mild, brown ale, bitter, Italian pils, saison) and a rotating selection of IPAs, barrel-aged beers, sours and ciders. They also get nerdy with things like Roggenbier, Rotbier, Tafelbier, Schwarzbier, etc.——— Truly, I go here sometimes just for the food, and have non-drinking friends who will also visit for the same reason. I’ve never had a bad meal here… scratch that; I’ve never had anything less than a very good meal here. Whether it’s the beet salad, the bier burger, or one of their frites-inspired offerings, you’re gonna eat well here. If you are jumping from brewery to brewery, and don’t eat here, you’re missing out. ——— Monnik is on the short list of breweries I recommend you do not miss when visiting Louisville. It’s wonderful in all respects. Free street parking in the area.“

“Typical Total Wine layout. I thought the beer selection was a little lacking, had some local and regionals but thought it would have been more. Long lines too.Still found enough to throw a mixed six together, but nothing earth shattering.“

“Definitely one of the cooler places in Louisville as a location. The bar is fitted with all kinds of old stereo equipment. Quite cool in layout. Weather was nice, so the patio was open--it has several levels up a hill, then alongside some old water tunnels of some sort, or storage area, made of brick. Not sure what they are but cool to look at. Flights available, and service is friendly.“

“This place is even harder to find than the photo suggests. It's almost like the place is trying to hide--maybe they do cash only for a reason, ha. Anyway, the cash only is an issue give their prices. So many beers I'd like to try here but not many worth it. Only left with three. Had a couple of pints at the bar too, which has an all star lineup of drafts. Service is friendly. Worth a visit just to see, as a kind of museum. They sell really old cans of Coors banquet and stuff for hundreds of dollars.“

“Cool market like location here, but unfortunately all the food places were closed when I visited. The bar was open. No flights available here. I had one beer and left--would have stayed a bit longer but the bartender was kind of a d-bag. The one beer I had and another sampled weren't that great.“

“This place sits right in the baseball stadium. Well, the door is on the outside--you don't need to buy a ticket to the game to have beer. Flights available. About half their taplist is stuff that is available everywhere in cans, and the other half new stuff I hadn't seen before. Service ok. Picnic table seating outside. I had a birria hamburger, which sounded better than it was. Not for the birria so much as the dry, overcooked frozen burger.“

“Homey pub in a residential area. Friendly feel inside, and service is good. Their beer is pretty good, with lots of interesting styles and many that are done well. They do flights here. The food menu looked good, though I'd already eaten. One of the better breweries in Louisville.“

“Big wide open space in the Nulu neighborhood of Louisville. Lots of seating, the sheer interior space cuts down on noise considerably. We sat at the bar; our server was very friendly and helpful. 16 beers on tap; all their own. Several different styles. I would come here again.“

“I didn't realize that the bar WAS the brewery. As I drank the beer, I walked around and saw the brewing equipment behind it. Very unique location! I was there on a Sunday around lunchtime, and there were a few people hanging around the bar, but you can carry the beer anywhere in the building - so I grabbed one to go and drank with my delicious lunch.“

“Large industrial space in Louisville. Large bar with TVs, very open with tall ceilings. They have a lot of taps, some regulars and seasonals. Some interesting styles too. The oat IPA and pastry imperial stout were standouts. Solid stop, plenty of good beers to choose from and they offer a lot in cans as well.“

“Cool brewpub in Louisville. A pretty large space with a bar section and then there is an indoor stage with surrounding tables. If you go outside, there is a permanent Mayan Kitchen food truck. And then you can walk up a flight of stairs and there is an area of outdoor tables with a nice skyline view. It was empty in the winter, but I'm sure it's popular in the summer. They have a pretty extensive tap list with some unique beers. Beers were all pretty solid - coffee IPA, pale ale, ginger spiced German lager, black IPA. Definitely a good stop.“

“Centrally located on Main St near other restaurants/shops. Not sure if it was COVID times or not (visited in Dec 2021) but this place was dead. Although we were there near closing around say 10-11pm, there were no other customers. Has a typical bar atmosphere (I assume, at least that's what it looked like!). TVs, long bar, tables. They have a number of taps. The chai porter was tasty, super chai heavy. Barrel aged coconut brown, very coconut heavy, delicious. Anyway, the beers are good, seems like a good spot to hang out, not sure why it was completely dead. Staff was friendly.“

“Cool brewpub, in an old industrial space that used to be occupied by previous breweries pre-prohibition. It's a pretty large place, lots of indoor seating. They have games and TVs. Interesting tap list, with some solid standard beers and interesting seasonals. Tasty coffee porter, pumpkin beer, and red ale with spruce. Very enjoyable, definitely recommended.“

“Cozy spot in Louisville. Pretty full when I visited on a weekday evening. They have a small bar, comfy couches, and some tables. The beer list was not terribly long, fairly standard styles. I tried a coffee porter, mild ale, IPA, and brown ale. All solid, though perhaps unmemorable. No food, no TVs. But a chill vibe, nice place to relax with a beer. Recommended, but not my favorite stop.“

“Beautiful new looking building in a nondescript Louisville neighborhood. Everything on the inside is very organized and clean. Our waiter was amazing; I feel guilty for not remembering his name. 19 beers on tap but still feels like more of a restaurant than a brewery. The beers I had were pretty good, the food was next level. I highly recommend this place.“

“This is a huge and very well thought out brewery in an industrial part of Louisville. They had 18 of their own beers on tap, most of which are available to go in cans. Their stouts were particularly remarkable. The food is a separate vendor in house, so you have to pay twice but the brick oven pizza is excellent. I would absolutely come here again. Possibly my favorite brewery in Louisville.“

“Any time an old church is converted to a drinking establishment, I can’t help but become intrigued. 3rd Turn has a friendly staff. Music in the background is not too loud. Any sports on a TV is in a cozy corner in the back away from the main crowd. It is a simple, great, drinking establishment. Has a fantastic local feel too. You can go to 3rd Turn and never feel out of place. Beer selection is solid. Like any decent micro-brewery, you have to keep your palate open to the brews of the brewmeister….. love this place!!!“

“I followed google map instructions to get to this place, and at first thought there was either an error or the place had shut down. That was until I saw a table out front with some beer cartons and bottles. There are no windows in front and no signage, but despite the unappealing entry, I opened the door and went in. What a contrast. There were wall to wall beers on shelves and coolers and a nice little bar with a number of inviting taps on offer. It was a bit like a speakeasy, but cozy inside. If I were to rate this a beer museum and tap room I would give it five stars. However, as a bottle shop I would not give it more than two. Despite the vast selection, many bottles appeared to be pretty old. That may be okay with Belgian beers, but one of the beers I bought there gushed all over the kitchen, with full 2/3 of the $28 bottle wasted, which turned out not to matter because the beer was skunked and undrinkable. I would never buy a beer here without a date on the bottle. This is the first place I ever saw a North Korean beer, which sadly was not for sale.“

“Went there for lunch with a group. Kind of a throwback kind of place. Kind of feels like it may need a bit of an update. Food was decent pub faire, good but items felt a touch dated. I liked the underground vibe - bar area looked like a fun place to hang out to grab a beer. One thing that was frustrating was that there were a number of beers that were only listed at the bar - didn't even know about them until after we got the bill and I was headed to the bathroom.“

“Cool place located NEXT to the ballpark, not inside. I originally had not planned on visiting, but when passing realized you could access it from the outside. Good vibe, really cool to see the brewery on the upper floors from where the bar was. Only ate some appetizers, but they were good. Looks like there's an outside area.“

“Goodwood was a fun, sleek looking brewery in the Louisville. They have a large number of taps, with a large amount of liquor, some of their own, then standard. Beers on tap were pretty good. Staff was really nice. Flights were very affordable (compared to what I'm used to on the East Coast).“

“street parking, no meters. Very open and new. had 12ish house beers on tap plus a fridge with 4-packs of cans. does flights. Has a food-truck inside the fenced-in patio. Brewing equipment is on the other side of the truck with what appears to be a 5-barrel set up. decent variety in beers: kolsch, IPAs, a Hefeweizen, a sour, a gose, a stout, but mostly IPAs. Friendly service. Atmosphere was decent for a Sunday morning. Music was current and dare I say "urban"? Nice place overall. felt welcoming. The incomplete tap list on the wall gives the impression they plan on having up to 20 taps. I hope they do. The stand out beer for me was the pastry sour. I've never seen such a style and it was refreshing. Neat place. glad I stopped by. Food was good. I had the roast beef sandwich. the mayo/wasabi sauce was delicious.“
