74 /100 539 LOXLEY ROAD Visited on a Saturday afternoon. Situated on what appears to be the main road through the village. No off street parking. the bar is separated into 3 areas, two are more restaurant and I more bar. plenty of place wood, and restaurant style tables. The had a sizable beer garden out back, and a cellar bar (didn't go there). They are doing friendly. Plenty of there own beer on 6 on HP 2 on keg. Also also regional keg beers offered. |
62 /100 539 LOXLEY ROAD In the far north-western suburbs of the city, it's not quite out of the urban sprawl but its beer garden overlooks the valley from high so has decent views. In its own building there's two distinct corridor rooms serviced by the bar where it becomes open plan at the far side wall. Most tables are designed or set-up for dining and it's clear this forms a large part of this brewpubs setup, however I found it fine just ordering one of their half a dozen cask lines - although the place was mostly empty having just opened on Saturday lunchtime. Has interesting antler light shades. |
