70 /100 21 LEDGEWOOD LN Visited with Bobby P, cheers! Rural place down a gravel road with no real sign except for the local park. Large tent that was basically a summer sauna so we passed on that. Small serving bar and another for wood fired pizza, then a smaller and fortunately much cooler tent. Frisbee golf range across the gravel road. Plenty of stuff for little kiddies to do, and dogs are allowed and MUST NOT be on a leash (so if you're not a free range dog enthusiast, beware). Six or so beers, all that I tried were very tasty. Net time I'll try the pizza. |
76 /100 21 LEDGEWOOD LN Came a little before their posted opening time of 1pm on a gorgeous and sunny Sunday at the end of June 2016, but things were already going and getting set up for the day so no one seemed to mind me being early. Open outside space at a farm, big tent set up with some tables and a stage. There was a surf band that day, so a $2 cover charge. Music theme runs through a lot of the beer names as well as the branding, with tap handles that look like bass scrolls. It’s definitely on farm ground, as there was a big manure aroma wafting by from time to time. I’d be curious to see what it’s like in the colder months when you probably can’t have the 40-50 people who ended up being here during my visit, outside, and there’s likely something that happens for accommodating the crowds. Beers are bought with tokens, which are $5 per beer, or 5 for $20, or a sampler of 4x4oz for $7. Wood fired pizzas which were quite good. Beers are good, 5 on tap plus a cask when I was there. Glad I made the trip out, and I’ll certainly stop back sometime (especially since I have some beer tokens left).
