76 /100 Taps (Greene King) (Bar) 12 HENRY STREET, Visited on a Saturday afternoon in October 2015. This is a few minutes walk from Lytham station towards the sea. Don’t let the Greene King put you off!
It’s quite a large place, it was busy on Saturday afternoon. The beer list is on the home page of the website plus on boards above the bar.
A good range of guest beers from across the UK, the two I had were in good condition and not scarily priced.
Staff were friendly enough
The website also shows what’s coming next too which is handy.
Really nice spot and worth a stop if you’re in the area. |
66 /100 Railway Hotel (JDW) (Bar) STATION ROAD A Wetherspoon occupying a previous commercial building maintaining its name but not the hotel. Instead it is a modern chink in this chain with all the particulars desired for new pubs for this company, including a patio and extensive drinking area with a modern touch to the traditional wooden furnishings and fittings. Its all open plan but has distinct areas to drink in. The bar itself is huge and extends around a corner near the front entrance. The decor has a railway theme running through it but this is not unexpected given its name. At the back a conservatory area brings another dimension to what is a comfortable and popular place to drink in a well to do area. The bar stocks plenty of choice when it comes to real ale. |
