“We visited here Monday 30th September 2019 following a short cycle ride from our campsite a few miles north but still on the lakeside. Malcesine is a small town so this is quite easy to find, the shop sits just across the way from a small Spar supermarket on a pedestrianised street up the hill away from the lake front. This is a rather smart shop that presumably started out selling Olive Oil (it still does) but has obviously diversified and now sells all manner of artisan local products including a number of beers, wines and spirits. The beers are mostly at the rear of the shop on the right hand side on shelving, however there are some opposite there in the fridge and also in a fridge near the door/entrance. There are some leaflets from the respective breweries and I guess all in all there are about 4-5 breweries beers here with about 4-5 beers each. The beers are all in bottles (no cans) and are mostly 330ml with some larger bottles. I went back here to pick up some bottles prior to our return cycle ride as I didn't want to walk all around town with them. However be aware the shop closes for 2-3 hours during the middle part of the day and I was unlucky and couldn't get any beers. I cannot recall all the breweries but the ones I was checking out were very local, Birra Monte Baldo was one of them and I note this brewery has only one rating on here. So certainly not a destination place, however it's a very nice little town in a predominantly wine region so beer highlights are few and far between, anyone not local popping in here should find a number of new beers to try.“
