BMMI Shops (Beer Store)
ROAD 4304
“The map is not 100% accurate so beware. It’s difficult to enter the proper location on here so when you turn on road 4304 keep an eye out for a red and white BMMI sign on your left hand side. If you make it to Jotun then you’ve gone to far. Not that big and most of the space is taken up with wine or hard liquor. Lots of macro lagers for your purchasing pleasure. Still, it has the best selection I’ve seen in Bahrain. I snagged London Pride, Greene King, Murphy’s Irish Stout, and Duvel. Prices are better than bars, but the Duvel was about BD2.7 and the others were in the BD1-BD1.8 range. They are available in cases, four/six packs, and singles. I don’t often buy beer off base but this is probably the place I’ll go to most often due to the "large" selection. If I were rating it against other Bahrain stores it would get a 90+.“

“Located in the Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel in the Diplomatic Area. No surprise here, but Fiddlers Green is another faux Irish Pub in Bahrain. This country does not want for bad Irish pubs. Dark and, if the bad is on, loud. If the band is off it is actually a nice place to grab a drink. They had Marstons Pedigree on when I was there in addition to Somersby cider, three taps of Carlsberg, and other macro stuff. I believe they had a Guinness tap, too. I only list this place because they have Pedigree in addition to the other macro beers that all Bahrain bars have. Prices are in line with the rest of Manama.“

The Warbler (Restaurant)
BUILDING NO. 176, ROAD NO. 2005, BLOCK NO. 320,
“Located in the Ramee Baisan Hotel. They go over the top English pub decor here. The inside is modeled after cobblestone streets, a red phone booth, street lamps, etc. Neat. They have live music in the evenings, much like most other bars and clubs around Manama. We stopped in early (6:30) so it was pretty empty and didn’t start filling up till 10, which was when we were leaving. The food is mostly styled after English dishes, with enough other international dishes to satisfy most. My wife’s fish and chips were very tasty and my Steak and Guinness pie was also tops (and huge). I’ve been told they have the best pies in Bahrain, but I can’t compare since it was the first one I’ve had in the country. The beer list is your usual lineup of Carlsberg, Budweiser, Fosters, Heineken, etc. But they also had Well’s Bombardier (best form Ive had it on the island, too), a tap for Fuller’s London Pride, though it was off when I visited, and a couple decent bottles from Paulaner. This is about as good of a selection as I’ve seen in Bahrain. I would recommend stopping in early enough that you miss the crushing drunk crowd that does seem to gather later on the weekends. Nice place.“
