“I like the setup and decor at Zed's...and love the backstory (great grandfather brewing beer for fellow minors in Hungry). The owners and people I met while visiting were interesting and fun. This is a great place to visit if in the general area...and also easy to combine with a number of other breweries in the area. The beer is good...maybe a couple above average...but hoping they get better with time. The WC IPA and Pale 42 were my favorites. Check them out.“

“Located in a strip mall. Decent size inside. They focus on lower ABV beers and the style / beer menu reflects. Found their beers to be average and nothing really standing out. They weren't busy and I was questioned why I rated one of their beers lower ...“

“The store is warehouse huge and clean, service is just mediocre though. Can't say I've ever been thrilled with talking with the employees here. The selection is verging on generic, rarely do I see new local things, or really new exciting things at all. It's becoming safe and boring and because of that I rarely stop here anymore. Fortunately the prices are good though, so if you want to pick up Dogfish Head or Yards you're getting a good price. Want Evil Twin or Bolero Snort? You're out of luck. As a whole this place is alright, but I'm pretty much done coming here for the time being unless convenience is a factor.“

“Eerily like a Total Wine like others have said. only difference is no clearance beer. Clean, well organized. I don't live in Jersey, so I don't have much to compare to. On this trip I also went to Canal's which is at the plaza next door. Prices seem fine, a few items did seem mis-marked to a lower price. The advantage is lots of local Jersey stuff. Everything in singles. Imports average. They definitely concentrate on local beer. Worth a stop if you are driving on the Turnpike.“

“Awesome selection in all areas; wine, beer, and liquor. Wine selection and service finding available vintages is exceptional. Selection of liquors is above average for the size of the store. Beer selection is far superior to the selection of other local stores. All craft brews are available in singles, 4 packs or 6 packs. Some are available in 12 packs and cases.“

“Awesome place, previous comparisons to Total Wine have merit, but this place is bigger and cleaner. Actually has two full aisles of beer apart from the coolers, including one with way more bombers and 750s than I’m used to seeing. A good place for the upper end large bottles (the more "wine-like", I guess) like the GI sisters and a more than a few rarities. Prices are a tad high on the 12oz bottles and cans (premium pricing for the split into singles, bombers and 750s are par) but certainly not high enough to prevent me from buying fifty singles in a trip. Good service, easy to find with ample parking (long strip mall next to a supermarket), fresh bottles, and miscellaneous barware and cheese and cigars and the like. I’ll be back often. [2014.10.16: 90]

Wish I got up here more often, it’s always a phenomenal experience with great help and I always end up spending a mint! [2017.01.19: 98]“

“I went here for my first time yesterday and was immediately impressed. I sat down and asked for a beer menu while waiting. I was pointed towards a wall that had the list written down. Immediately the bartender stopped conversation with the other patron and asked if I needed a sample of anything. I decline, but was rather impressed at the quality of their selections, despite not having a huge tap list. In-fact I’ve checked beer menus a few times and they seem to always have a great tap list.

I sat down and looked over the menu with my girlfriend and, me with a Brewdog Cocoa Psycho and her with a Goose Island Sofie. Our server was kind enough to explain some of the choices to us and even made a great soup recommendation.

The food came out hot and tasty, more than I could eat in one sitting. The waitress perfectly paced her table visits and was very friendly. I felt very welcomed during my visit here in the dimly lit Mexican style decor.

I was very impressed with how friendly the staff was and the beer selection quality. The prices were on the high side, but nothing absurd. I wound up paying $72 for 4 beers and two dinners which both came home half eaten with us. I highly recommend this place and would stop in again.“

“Huge selection at great prices makes this a mandatory once-a-month for any Philadelphia beer lover. There’s a card-driven wine tasting bar, a good selection of cheese and a chiller for your wine or beer. On top of that,y ou have two very knowledgeable people in Bruce and Charlie. (the latter is a legend-Winner of the Philadelphia Wine Star Award)“

“Great little hole in the wall place on Rt 70. This is a great stop for both Mexican Food and good beer. The wait staff and bar backs are all super friendly (and most of them are cute ladies). If you’re at the bar, they are great about quick and friendly service and will usually hang around and shoot the shit if that’s what you need. They have 9 taps: two of Dos Equis, one of a local Flying Fish brew and the other 6 are constantly rotating great craft brews. They also keep a refridgerator stocked with bottles like Nugget Nectar, Youngs Double Chocolate and Lost Abbey Devotion. Taylor, who runs the place, is very friendly and will always be happy to geek out about beer. The food is pretty good, especially if you go for a steak dinner or tacos. Not too crazy for the fajitas which is mind boggling. The black bean soup is fantastic and they usually have a different chili every week. Overall, it’s worth a stop. They usually have live music on Thursday and a free taco bar on Fridays. Definitely follow these guys to find out when they tap the good stuff: KBS, Backwoods Bastard, World Wide Stout etc...“

“Great big warehouse style wine and spirits shop. However, this is a state of the art kind of place. An automatic wine tasting rig, cheese refridgerators, accomodating and clean bathrooms, a classroom for wine pairings, walk in cigar humidor, and a wine chiller (which I often use for beer). Everyone who is on the staff is very helpful and friendly. Some of these guys are heavy hitters in the wine business but avoid being snobs. If you’re looking for beer (which I assume you are), ask for Bruce. Good friendly guy and can give you good advice for any style you are looking for. If you ever need something held, he’s happy to oblige. The selection is where this store shines. The craft selection is about on par with most of the better stocked NJ stores. But the international selection is exceptional. A huge assortment of international beers including Mikkeller, Baladin, Meantime, Boon, and many many more. The store is pretty good about getting some of the rarer seasonal stuff but it can fly off the shelves (or storeroom) pretty quickly. The prices are pretty good, escpecially if you are coming from Philly. Overall, I recommend stopping here and checking it out. Apparently I’m the mayor?“

“I have to say this place is my almost second home. The craft beer selection is very expansive and the wine selection is even better. If you don’t see a beer you want just ask for BRUCE! He is the best in customer service and will always try to find the beer for you! I honestly can not say enough about him!“

“This is looks like a Total Wine clone - a large wine store with one aisle devoted to beer, plus a walk in fridge and a row of fridges mostly for sixers and cases. Pretty decent selection of singles from regional breweries. Prices aren’t terrible.“

“Decent selection even for New Jersey, where I normally have found good selection. Reasonable prices, particularly on local brewers. I got some Old Schoolhouse. Better than average selection of Europeans, that is Norway and Italy, not only Mikkeller.“

“This really wasn’t anything special, but it was close to my hotel in the Mount Holly/Cherry Hill area. A few specials, a good selection of single bottles and the willingness by the beer manager to open a six-pack.“

“A nice bar/restaurant to go to. It’s a rather clean place with nice decor. The bartenders were nice as were the waitresses in my two visits. Thursdays are great for $2.50 drafts and there’s a decent selection here. I like to stop here on Thursdays when I’m in the area to get a pint of something nice on tap at a fair bar price.“

“Nothing special here, typical warehouse style liquor store with not much in the way of craft brews. There’s a small section for singles/bombers and a decent amount of space for craft brews, but I found nothing out of the ordinary here. There’s a decent selection, just don’t expect anything rare here.“

“This is another one of "New Jerseys Finest". It is a one stop shop for liquor, wine,a and of course beer. They have an awesome selection of micros, macros, and imports. One of the better places I’ve been to lately.“

“Huge and loud. The service is good with a bunch of hot young women, not very knowledgeable but who cares. The draft selection is solid with a lot of locals. The food is over priced bar food, not very good either. Prices are pretty high, more like a Center City place without the Center City ambiance. In the South Jersey Beer Wasteland though, this is almost as good as it gets. Only Iron Hill about 5 miles down the road is better.“

“Great warehouse style liquor store. nice bright factory lights, huge craft selection separated by Domestic and Foreign. Both solid offering JP, DFH, Founders, Southern tier, Nogne, Mikkeller, Haand, Pannepot, Hanssens Gueuze etc. Friendly staff, good pricing.“

“Normal mexican lagers are tap standards - thank god the owner / bar manager loves good beer. Theres usually some interesting local (philly or nj) breweries available on draft in addition to a big boy stout or belgian strong. If you get a chance to speak with him, he’s a cool dude. I’ve tried a bunch of strong DFHs here, some great Founders (including KBS on draft). Great food too. Friendly bar tenders / waitresses.“

“This place opened up about a year ago and at the time had little to no micro brews in stock. But over the past 6 months the owner has been going all out to get more and more. Each time I visit there are more beers here that are hard to find elsewhere, there has got to be around 1,000 or so different ones in stock as of this review. Much better than almost any other place in the area. The prices are fair as well and the service is pretty good. If you are in the area it is worth it to stop in a check it out.“

“This is by far the best place for beer in the area. It even rivals Monster and Hops & Grapes in Glassboro. The selection of Belgians is top notch and they have a huge selection of domestic singles as well. The other European markets have a big representation too. They have a large area for cold beer but I was too enamored with the singles to pay any mind to it. They have some cheeses but I was not there for cheese. The girl that helped me was quite nice on the eyes but she did overcharge me for one beer so watch the register. The prices were a tad on the high side but still worth the trip. If hungry, stop at the Mexican Food Factory for dinner and some good beer.“

“I’m in Joe Canal’s on average about three times a month. Very good section of micro’s, and imports. I’d say in the past year the selection has became more diverse. There are also single bottles now available. Prices are reasonable, and they do offer a frequent buyers club where you can save 5% on your purchases.“

“So I was exstatic when this place opened. I walked in, and was even happier when I saw it’s selection. There are three walls of beer. And the prices are pretty reasonable, especially compared to what I pay in Philly. Really a nice place with great selection that was much needed in the area.“

“When I first rated Wine Works, the store had just opened and the craft beer selection was relatively limited. However, as I have accrued much experience over many trips and beers from Wine Works over the summer, I have grown to greatly appreciate it. While the interior is relatively industrial and straightforward, it is brightly lit and the beers are well arranged by size, country, and brewer. After living in Philly, and subsequently being subjected to the outrageous cost of good beer, the values here are unreal. Seriously, this store has some amazing beers for mind-blowingly reasonable prices. Allagash, Dogfish Head, Flying Dog, Jolly Pumpkin, Green Flash, Stone, Southern Tier, Unibroue, and a solid stock of trappiste ales, Belgians--Cantillons!--fill the shelves, as well as some Nordic treats from Nøgne Ø, Haand, and the great Mikkeller. Brian, the beer manager, recently asked me why I had reviewed Wine Works negatively; I could not think of a single answer that still held true. Wine works has vastly improved, and Brian has done a fantastic job with the store. The girls at the counter are always sweet, friendly, and cute, which is a refreshing change of pace from the traditional old curmudgeon grumpily accepting your payment. Anyway, I highly recommend a stop here for newcomers and craft aficionados alike. Cheers!“

“This is a great little place that has been here forever. I dated a girl that was a waitress here when I was in high school and that was 35 years ago. It’s a friendly place with the typical Mexican decor. The servers are friendly and fairly knowledgeable when it comes to the beer. The selection is small but very good. I had a Founders stout and a Mad Elf last time in. Stop by on a Saturday and hit Flying Fish for a tour and tasting too.“

“When I lived in South Jersey, this was by far my favorite mexican resaurant. I was back in town visiting friends, and I find out they now have a great, albeit small craft beer selection on tap. Mondays are half off which is great.“

“Ambiance is horribly loud and obnoxious with barely adequate service. The selection of beer is OK, but last time I was there the "craziest" beer was a Magic Hat 9 or Victory pils. Guess it is still better than just Bud and Budlight. Food was bad even by bar food standards. One persons burger was charred and mine was to raw. Sent both back and left after finishing our beer. Value - outside of the beer we did not pay. Overall - I would avoid this place unless your there for a happy hour with friends then who cares about everything above.“

“For a place that is essentially a sports bar, the tap list is solid. Variety includes DFH, Victory, Flying Fish, Southern Tier etc. Nothing crazy, but you’ll have decent options. From the two times I’ve been here the staff has been friendly. Huge bar area.“
