| 76 /100 Hop Frog Cafe (Bar) 3-8-26 CHUO “Small cafe/bar just down the street from the Matsumoto City Museum of Art (be sure to see the Yayoi Kusama permanent exhibition there). 10 taps, all Japanese craft, except one US brew. Seating for six at the bar and perhaps 12 at tables. Very friendly owner, who speaks English and really seems to know the beers. Also, has English menus with detailed descriptions for both the beers on tap and for the food they serve. They also offer several varieties of coffee and roast the beans themselves. Open for just about one year and certainly the best craft beer bar in Matsumoto. I look forward to visiting again.“ |

Now they are contracted from 3 different brewers, but they plan to be brewing themselves by early 2017. Staff were super friendly and explained the beers well. Beer was generally pretty good quality.“ |
