Chandler’s (Restaurant)
212 MARKET ST.
“This place is a beautiful restaurant in downtown Maysville, close to the Ohio river. Brick and wood everywhere; looks very historic, but modernly clean. Service was just fine, though I did have a chuckle when the lady tending bar tried to give me a frosted Chimay chalice for my Chimay Blue. Yes, you read that right, but Trappist beer in Maysville is a pretty big deal. Selection is rather small, but includes Bell’s, Schneiders, Hoegaarden, Dogfish head (not in stock when I was there) Franziskaner and some others. Food is highly rated on Urbanspoon and well regarded in the town. Beer is fairly priced and the food is priced comparable to quality as well. This place has some real promise- but they need a real beer education first.“

Kroger - Maysville (Grocery Store)
381 MARKET SQUARE DRIVE
“Maysville’s FIRST Rate Beer destination! WHOO! Ambiance is... well, it’s Kroger. Service is made up of one cashier, and I didn’t really ask her anything, to be fair. Selection is not incredible, but is probably the best in a several county radius. As you can see from the beers I added, there are some decent options, but nothing too exotic. Food is found in the main store. Beers were priced according to quality, the lambics were a little high (probably a luxury item in this area). For those who care, a nice bourbon selection, including some local picks from Pogue; one of the oldest Bourbon makers in the state. A decent stop if you are in the area and need a servicable beer selection.“
