“Newer Buy Rite location (opened sometime in Fall 2020 I think). Gets a pretty good selection of what is available in NJ. Large walk-in fridge in the back and a bunch of warm racks as well that are filled with craft. Found some older IPAs floating around, especially in the warm area, so probably a good idea to check dates. The service was one guy at the check-out, didn't talk to anyone else in the store, so can't say too much about that. I'm glad to have a decent store in town as the rest of the stores in town have very little craft, but the Joe Canal's up the road is probably still the best option within a 10-15 min drive of my house.“

“Interesting spot. Sort of part of Haley's Harp (though you can't connect between them as far as I can tell). Draft lines were exclusively for Brainy Borough, fridge is filled with bottles and cans of mostly macro, they could definitely use an upgrade on the fridge offerings. Front part is basically the nano-brewery's tap room with a small bar and maybe 2-3 games. Back part is a bar-cade type set-up with all coin operated retro video games. Children are allowed until later in the evenings. On my first visit there were only about a handful of other customers, mostly drinking bottles of the macro stuff. The Brainy Borough beers are fine, nothing outstanding, but more than passable. Food-wise, its typical bar food (I assume its just a limited version of the Haley's Harp menu cooked in the same kitchen?) Overall, its a decent spot, especially if you are already in downtown Metuchen or getting off the train in Metuchen (as its just a couple feet from the train station), but it is not a destination at this time. Prices are pretty cheap as well, which is nice. I'll certainly be back based purely off the convenience factor, and if the beer improves I'll be quite happy. “

“Right near the train station. Solid food and prices. Unexciting, but fine beer selection. Associated with Brainy Borough Brewing (located out the back of this place), but they don't serve their beers.“

“Nice taco spot in the front right side of Whole Foods. Has its own entry off the side patio or entry through the store. 12 draft lines (mostly craft), pretty good tacos and other snacks, and a very solid happy hour where you can get pints of beer like Kane, Carton, Wet Ticket, etc for $4. Large patio is nice in good weather. Pinball machine and some other games in there. Nothing exceptional, though the prices are pretty good. A solid spot for sure.“

“Large Irish pub with a tiny patio. Lots of typical Irish/English draft and a half dozen craft taps. Typical pub food at a reasonable price. No flights or small pours. Not bad if you want the Irish experience or are hungry. They will have a soccer match on as well.“

“Haley’s Harp is a nice "Irish" Pub that has a good amount of bar seating/ standing room and plenty of tables to sit and have a meal. They generally have a couple different sports channels on different big screen TVs. So far I’ve only been there a few times but they always have something good on tap. First time i went they had Nugget Nectar. Also have had Founders Centennial and Ithaca Flower Power to mention a couple notable offerings. From the look of the menu it’s hearty Irish/ American food, lots of starch, cheese and grease. You can’t get a "light" bite to eat. Though it seems awesome when you want to have that kind of food. Overall HH is a place i will be going back to and enjoying plenty of pints.“
