“Visited September 2023. Very modern craft beer bar focused mainly on international craft (bottled and canned) and local Mexican craft (tap). Selection is very impressive regarding bottles and cans but was looking only for Mexican beers. Prices high, but reasonable enough. Certainly a must visit.“

“Visited September 2023. Modern US / European style craft beer tap room. Beer selection is mostly their beer on tap and canned, beer menu to be found on untapped. It is a chill place with good beer and friendly service. Had a taco de pescado as well, but was not authentic. Rather high prices.“

“This is the green emerald of beer in CDMX...quality and color! The place is located not far from El Trappist, in an elongated bar set up all of green jade color. Most taps i have seen here in townn, close to 3, with 150 ml pours available from 40 to 100 pesos. Beer selection is very solid, lots of Baja region beers, some Epic and Evil Twin from USA, and a Pohjala. Food menu is upscale pub grub (burgers, hot dogs) meets Mexican street food (tlayudas, esquites, sopas), ceviches and spaghetti. Huge bottle selection for on premise and to go...they had Cantillon, loads of imports and extensive Mexican beer. Service was excellent, and English was spoken.“

“My second visit since March 2018. Place did not change much apart from addition of some La Roma and VKBC logos and beers, as it appears they appear to have some tight association. La Roma brewry is literally behind Escollo and staff move from one to the other to get beers, via a passageway. Decor is cool, open concept to the street, lots of table seating. Beers are , some misses (lower grade Escollos, La Romas) to hits (any VKBC was solid, Escollo's DIPA and stouts). Food menu is more elaborate than La Roma , with more emphasis on Mexican tacos, tortas, salads, chapulines, etc). I didnt see the escamol (ant eggs) i had in 2018 but tasted of my friend's nacho which were good. Flight of 5 for 170 pesos.“

“A cool little brewery located in Roma north, this place is modern, lots of seating with about 30 places inside. Service was excellent. Food selection is sandwiches, tacos, snacks.. My cubano was excellent. Beers are subpar to ok at best. 3 on pours from 30 to 50 pesos. Ok “

“Another solid cdmx brewery, located in Roma south, this little taproom rocks. About 20 seats inside and another 20 outside. Service was excellent. Beers are all top notch. 180ml tasters for 60 to 90 pesos. Small menu of snacks and Mexican offerings.“

“Good spot near Morenos Tasting Room, this place is modern yet cosy, plenty of seating place, friendly service, free wifi. Beers are ok to excellent. 270 ml tasters go from 60 to 100 pesos. Food is actually bright spot here, with good fish and (actual) chips and pork belly tacos. Good service. Nice bottle selection.“

“A great place in CDMX, with a great service, excellent beers, good prices. The place itself is smallish, with 26 seated places inside and a dozen on the patio, on the street. Beers were solid with only 2 duds out of 16. Half pints from 60 to 100 pesos. Free samples upon asking. We had the croquetas and they hit the spot. They also have ceviche and tacos. Great place.“

“One of the better places in CDMX, this outlet of the Monterrey brewery is modern, a bit dark, 30 seats inside and 20 on patio. Place was packed on a Tuesday night! Beer taster come in 250 ml pours (50-70 pesos range) but were closer to 300 ml! Very generous . Beers go from OK to solid (nothing wowed me that night) but quality is there. Service was attentive. Food menu is a mix of Mexican snacks , pizzas and burgers. The burger with bacon, cheddar and guacamole was top notch at 168 pesos. Bottles and cans to go. Worthwhile!“

“Small tap room in Juarez, with 15 seats inside and decent sized patio outside. One of the original beer bars in el DF, this place has around 12 taps, 4 on sample size at 25-50 pesos, around 10 Mexican and 2 American offerings. Little food menu. Good service.“

“A nice taproom in Col Juarez, white, simple, worthwhile. Taproom is small, 15 seats inside and small patio on sidewalk. Beers were ok to solid, sold by the pint only but server gave us tasters so we could try everything. Pint is around 85-100 pesos. Good smoked porter. Food menu was small but interesting, home made; they had a poutine but we saw they just put shredded cheddar instead of curds.“

“A cool but small bar located close to the Coyoacan Market, no more than 20 seats. Small but powerful. 8 taps of Mexican local beers, about 20-30 Mexican and international offering in cans or bottles. Food menu is small but solid. We had an order of huge wings for 180 pesos and home made olives (a huge bowl for 85 pesos)...the Liefmans Frambozen cheese cake sounded appealing. Excellent service from the senior server who seemed to know her stuff. Sample glasses were 8 ounces for 55 to 75 pesos (2.50 to 3.50$), which the server split in two for us, in generous pours. Happy hours weekday PM is 500 ml for the price of 350 ml.“

“Fantastic location in Roma, close to a theatre / food court, a funky community garden. You enter by the brewery level on the ground floor and go up to the huge taproom which has a Mexican kitchen and a Texas kitchen. The Mexican food was fantastic, and reasonably priced. Flight of 5 beers for 150 pesos. Beers are ok, a decent IIPA and a fruit Berliner Weisse, the rest is underwhelming. One infected beer.“

“Small hole in the wall in the back of a kind of market restaurant kind of concept place. Friendly staff with about 10 beers on tap. Quite a few meads if you're into that. Flights available and the bartenders are happy to talk beer. A little hard to find as you have to walk to the back of the market, but worth a stop if in the area--not far from Drunkendog and other places in the area. Quality of the beers they select isn't quite at the level of Drunkendog, mind you.“

“Modern tap room with a nice design overall. The service is awful: slow and little to no attention at all from the waitresses. The personel is more interested on chatting between them than in their work. The beer is good and the food is not bad, but it could improve.“

“This place has the most taps in town so far, or at least has the potential for the most taps. I visited last week and only about 15 were operating, perhaps coronavirus blues. Small pours available on everything here. It's a big open place with a food truck parked inside permanently. Looks like they have some fermenters set up to brew beer, but I don't think they were operating when I visited. Taps were varied from around Mexico, though no real surprises. Similar stuff you find elsewhere in CDMX. A little out of the way. If this place gets all its taps back up, and focuses a bit more on quality, they stand to offer serious competition to Drunkendog. As it stands, the latter is still the king of Mexican craft beer bars. Definitely a place to go to knock of some Mexican ticks. And has a few visiting guest taps from the U.S. when I was in.“

“Cool little place with a bunch of taps all available in 4oz pours. A decent selection, about half Mexican craft and half imported stuff. The former are pretty cheap and the latter are quite expensive, but pretty well curated. When I visited they had the new Firestone Walker anniversary and some Cascade, for example. Great place to stop in quick and clean up some ticks. Friendly service. Five minutes walk from Simple Cerveceria.“

“Place down a dark back alley with no sign and no indication it's there--take a look at the photo as you have to knock on the door. Spacy inside, with some cool set up. Service is friendly. They do a flight of the four beers they had on tap when I was here. Was three of their staples plus a one-off. Beer is OK. In beer style, these guys seem like an old school style brewery that just sticks to its staples for brand recognition.“

“Cool open space that spills out onto tables and chairs on the corner. They had about 12 taps or so when I was there, roughly half of them that were in house and the other half guest taps. Their beers were pretty decent for the most part, with a couple of stand outs. Service is OK. No flights but they give you tastes of stuff. CDMX breweries are getting better all the time.“

“Tiny little place around the block from Cyprez with a good selection of bottles and cans, including quite a few I haven't seen before. Prices on par with other craft beer bars. They sell beers for take out as well, so you can stock up on a few for the next day. Friendly service. There's a burger vendor that set up shop when I was there if you're hungry, though I didn't try it. I did try the tacos across the street, which were awesome.“

“Great little place just next to my hostel on this visit. Really nice dark beers - the smoked porter was really good. They don't do flights but will let you try a couple before getting a pint. Friendly service, nice patio near some great street food, and great take out place across the street. Not sure if they do food themselves. They had about 13 taps when I was there, half theirs and half guest taps. Mexico City beer is improving all the time and it's breweries like this making it happen.“

“Probably one of the best places in Mexico City, if not the best, in terms of selection. Relatively new, with a big tap list. Flights available. Food pretty good. Expensive on Mexican standards though. Lots of local stuff and lots of American micros on tap here as well. Good service. Newer update: this place is seriously the center of beer in Mexico, at least in south and central Mexico. It's not just that they carry a ton of beer here, they constantly rotate taps and focus on quality in a way that other craft beer bars don't. Aka you won't see many of the more dubious quality breweries on tap here that often. Also, if you get half pours it's not really that expensive. Burgers are also great.“

32 /100 PLAZA DE LA REPÚBLICA 51
“OK, CRITICAL TO NOTE THIS PLACE HAS MOVED. It is no longer in front of the Monument; it's well outside of city center. Check google before you go. You know what, don't go actually. The space is very cool, open, plenty of tables, couches, industrial but cozy with a bakery attached. That's when it goes downhill. Sorry, the staff are great too, but I don't know who they are waiting on. Cristana has 10 beers on the menu... but only one is available. Unlucky for me, it was their imperial Alt when I was there. They have plenty of fermenters... so maybe they are just selling out? Nah, the brewing equipment is just for show and not even hooked up. Don't want an imperial Alt? Well, you can get a can of Mexican macro OR some VERY pricey imports at about $9 a bottle. There is food, but it's extremely uninspired. There are so many good places out there, skip this.“

“A bit outside of the downtown area, I took the metro and got here easily. I was surprised to find an open and modern industrial space with a food truck permanently parked inside. Best way to view the beer menu is by hooking up to the free wifi, but then... oh, what a beer menu it is. 50ish taps, lots of Mexican craft stuff I hadn't seen anywhere. Prices were good, sample sizes for about $1 a pop. Flights allowed. Staff was attentive, some spoke English. Very pleased.“

“Smack dab in the Roma neighborhood, which is the hot spot for basically everything. Cool space. Brewing equipment on the first floor, open air tasting room/bar space on the second. Great service, food on site was tasty. Beers were above average for Mexican craft and prices were on par for Mexico City. This could be the class of the CDMX craft beer scene.“

“Nice little bar in Mexico City. Rock music and skulls as decoration. The food is tasty, try the chilli nachos and german sausage. A decent variety of beers every week (mostly ales).“
