“Love this place. The Old Skool Altbier is a favorite of mine and I usually take a growler home. One of my top target destinations when I get a chance to get out on my bike.“

“Small-ish place, quaint location with pretty good service. Modest selection of in-house brews, all of which ranged from decent to pretty good. I didn’t get food, but the menu didn’t look to large... Some standard pub grub, but hey, you’re there to drink, right? Good pricing, sample sizes available for all brews as well as full-sized pours. A nice place to stop if you’re in the area.“

“Forgot to rate them! Been there twice now, a pretty nice warehouse-style interior, wasn’t really crowded either time. Limited food selection, but the sandwiches are indeed quite tasty. Beer is solid, but the 440 Pepper Smoker was the one that kept me thinking about it. Reading about the mug club in the bathroom, it seems like a better deal than most places.“

“I’ve stopped here twice now. Nice atmosphere and great service on my stops. Food is limited but was very good both times. Love the beer bread grilled cheese. Good beer selection for a brewpub and its always changing. Solid prices for pints and growlers. Highly recommend checking out.“

“Visited a few times. A dark space with a number of taps available. Service is usually good. Food is nothing special, but prices are nice. A good place for the area.“

“On a recommendation by some of the locals I stopped here en route to Ann Arbor. It was not a disappointing trip. With seven or eight beers on tap and very fair pricing this is a great local hangout. Trying a flight of four samples I was impressed by each one. The ambiance is typical of a working brewpub; the tanks and equipment are visible behind the bar.

Service was excellent and prompt despite the place being busy on a Friday night. Rather than your usual greasy brewpub fare the options here are Boar’s Head sandwiches. I would love to visit again if I am ever on my up to northern Michigan.“

“Only stopped in for a quick beer and a growler, but very much enjoyed and would frequent if closer. Has feel of low key brewpub for people who enjoy beer. Great friendly service, nice selection & pricing.“

“Had a taster, a few pints and a sandwich recent. They had 12 taps best were a rye, the porter, a german brown ale and the wit. The rest were okish, .A nice feel to the place.“

“Local market with fresh produce, great deli food, meat market, groceries, and a surprisingly great selection beer (local, domestic, import, American craft beers, Belgian specialties, and the usual mass market stuff).“

“(Visited 11/2008): Original Gravity Brewing is located in Milan right off Rte 23. Make sure not to follow the signs for "Downtown" as the turnoff for Dexter/County is shortly after the exit. There is a small private lot out front. The building is pretty non-descript from the outside but things improve immediately upon entering. The inside is fairly open with maroon walls and wood paneling. The bar is in the center of the establishment and the openness allows for a full view of the 8-10 brewing tanks behind the bar. The rest of the space is devoted to table seating. There is a chalkboard listing current beers, and they have a really interesting array of tap handles. As tempting as it would be to ding them for the huge M*chigan flag on the wall, I will remain professional. OG has around 10 beers on draught, including 2 "specials" and 1 or 2 "small batch" beers which they tap every Tuesday according to the chalkboard. The beers range from some of the usual brewpub fare (Amber, APA) to some more interesting options (Vanilla Porter, "Orange Tic Tac" Belgian, etc). All in all the beers were above average to very good. The fact they made a really good Amber which is usually a throwaway says a lot. A sampler is available. Service on a Saturday lunch hour was very good, but then again we were literally the only people there. The brewer and server were both friendly and happy to share info on their beers with us. The food menu is somewhat limited and leans heavily toward sandwiches but they were pretty good. They are served on panini bread, and my ham & cheese was tasty. Overall I am hoping this place makes it because we enjoyed our experience there. Hopefully they do better business with the dinner/bar crowd than they do on a weekend lunch. Definitely worth the short side trip on a trip on 23 near Ann Arbor or Cabella’s (Dundee).“

“Rlatively easy location to find with good parking in the front. Nice clean bar in the back center with the brewing behind the bar. Tables and big screen in the front. Nice beer selection and freindly about samples. Brad Sancho, owner and brewer was helpful and confident. Did not try food, but the menu was deli sandwichs, pretzels and chips. Enjoyed the visit.“

“First stop on the Michigan trip on 1/29/10. Cool little bar that was at about 1/3 capacity around 5:30 in the evening. Beers were decent, with Primordial Porter, 440 Pepper Smoker and Orange Peel Wheels being the standouts (no Vanilla Java Porter tonight). No wait staff, but bar staff was friendly enough. Didn’t venture far into the world of food, but got a basket of store bought pretzels and and a glob of cheese sauce resembling orange sherbet that tasted surprisingly decent. Nothing to rave about, but worth stopping.“

“Very clean brew hall ambiance. They have about 6-8 of their brews on draft. Excellent prices with even better happy hour specials. Helpful servers. Mostly local crowd. Food menu is limited to sandwiches which are a little high in price, but very good nevertheless.“
