100 /100 138 EIGHTH STREET Best selection of craft beer in Mildura |
68 /100 20 LANGTREE AVENUE This place has the bones for what could be a really great beer venue. It is in an old theatre in the centre of a busy dining precinct. The brewery up the back looks great and there is a long bar on one side with about a dozen taps. When we were there the service was good and there is food but we didn't try it. The beer is reasonable without ever hitting any really high points. Certainly better than the commercial rubbish served up in most pubs but not quite up there with the best of what Australian independent brewers have to offer. Still, a worthy place to visit when in town. |
78 /100 138 EIGHTH STREET A really good little bar in central Mildura. They have a couple of taps but the real interest is the selection of cans and bottles in the fridge which included about about 40 or so craft offerings from around the country. All the sharing tapas plates we tried were really good too and the service was top notch. |
64 /100 20 LANGTREE AVENUE As far as a venue........... Nearly world class. Beautiful Art Deco building. Feels like something out of the 30’s. Very well presented.
Service can be spotty if at a table. At the bar the bartenders are nice but do not know that much about beer.. They tend to ouch to the lower end of the spectrum.
Beers on their own are very average. Maybe speaks more to the Mildura population and what they drink. Such a big facility and very little creativity. Food is good though. One of the few joints in OZ that gets how the food should be. Worth going for the venue and food |
32 /100 20 LANGTREE AVENUE Could have been a nice little brewery, good ambiance. Layout as a sit-down type restaurant.
Unfortunately, the service was horrible. After waiting a good half hour to order the next round, we panicked and picked it up at the bar ourselves. The following order was forgotten by one server, and misunderstood by the next guy. They put all chairs up on all tables, except those with guests, half hour before closing.
The food though, was really good.
Weird place, that could be much a much better experience. |
