“Stopped by for a pizza and a flight before picking my daughter up from College. Pizza was good enough and the beers were average and drinkable. I came at shift change, so it was a little slow or I would have grabbed a 2nd flight.“

“Huge new place on Route 1. Very helpful staff. Great prices. Killer whisky prices. This would be a 100 rating if it wasn’t in CT and it’s meager selection compared to NY or MA.“

“Visited June 1, 2014.

This was the third SBC stop of the day. I have to say that while they only had a handful of SBC beers on tap here it was probably my favorite of the three locations (Sanford and Southport being the other two). The town is really nice and this building is right on the creek. In fact if you’re at a table against the one wall you can look down into the stream and even poke your head out the window. There is a stone bridge and the building itself has a tower built into it. Don’t know if it was something else before or if they just built it like this recently but it’s a cool building. From outside on the patio we could hear the music being played across the street. Great place to see, but the beer leaves something to be desired, though they did have a Widmer citra something or other tick.“

“One of my favorite watering holes in downtown Milford. They have their in-house brews and the occasional seasonal. The back room is great for larger parties. I was there on a Friday night around 10:00 and the lights dimmed and the place turned into a "night club" (not my style). But I have been back several times and will return.“

“Perhaps I’m just really excited about a place in town with an actual beer selection but this shop (more like warehouse) really pulls in lots of varieties of beer. You walk in and just walk straight, the beer runs the length of the facility and into the back were fridges are stocked with a good selection of micros along with the ubiquidous BMC selection. I won’t say it is a replacement to such stores as Mountview because the rarity selection isn’t nearly as deep. I will say you will be impressed by the selection of this otherwise cookie cutter style liquor store. If you live in the Milford area and enjoy beer I would suggest stopping by TW&S.“

“I guess there is a lot more to learn about SBC as many have told me this location isn’t indicative of the original SBC. I liked my dining and drinking experience here but as already stated this isn’t your premier brewpub. The staff was nice and the food was probably the bigger selling point. Even still, the place has a pretty cool interior and not a bad place to stop if you are walking around the Milford Green area.“

“Down the block from New England Beverage. They now have Chimay, Sierra Nevada and a handful of B United imports. Not worth the visit when not even a mile away there is a store with 100s of beers to choose from.“

Update 1/7/07:This is the newest of the SBCs. No brewing is done at this location and they do not offer growlers at this location anymore. They have also replaced several of their own taps with basic BMC beers. If you want to experience this place as a brewpub, you’re better off going to one of their other locations as this location is more of a bar and grill than a brewpub.

While a nice enough place, their beers do not get rotated often enough and they only stock the most basic offerings from SBC. When I was there last Friday, they still had the oktoberfest on draught which is two rotations ago for the Southport location. If in the area and wanting to see what SBC has to offer, skip this location entirely and go directly to their Southport location as this location, while the nicest in appearance, has the smallest selection of beers.“
