62 /100 Jolly Brewers (Bar) 5 FEN ROAD, This atmosphere of the Jolly Brewers is pretty staid. Two rooms, one set up for diners and the other for lovers of the liquid stuff like me. It’s modern with fairly invasive piped music. However the service is friendly and it seems to be a well-loved local. No craft keg or bottles, and the five casks (GK IPA, London Pride plus beers from Elgoods, Milton and Wold Top) plus the Cromwell Cider keep things on the traditional side. I picked up a tick but it ain’t a tickers’ pub. Still, the cask is in good nick and the prices are in line with (if not slightly cheaper than) similar pubs in Cambridge. |
68 /100 Jolly Brewers (Bar) 5 FEN ROAD, A pub with a modern interior with 5 beers on hand pull. 2 from the local Milton brewery. Beer was in good nick and service good. Current GBG entry (2016) |
66 /100 Plum Pudding (Bar) 44 HIGH STREET Nice village local, 4 beers on tap and not the most inspiring choice. Beer was in good nick. South Oxfordshire CAMRA pub of the year 2015. |
