The Boathouse (Restaurant)
305 W PARK AVE
“Stopped by last night at the suggestion of a bar whose kitchen was closed. Good suggestion. Upstairs over what seems like a divier bar downstairs. Upscale but not too fancy place, I felt in fine in a polo and jeans. Smallish menu (a welcome thing). Steaks, seafood, sandwiches. Pricy food, but, very good and you get a lot (ribeye came with salad, baked beans, slaw, wild rice). Couldn't finish it. Dinner tonight too. Beer prices were solid. 12-ish beers on tap, mostly local and regional craft. Got a new Central Waters I hadn't seen before. Customer service was very good, even with several different servers (sat at bar). Friendly and helpful despite a pretty decent crowd at 9pm. There's a section of the restaurant that overlooks the lake, but it was dark when I got there. I bet that's pretty cool. I don't much remember the ambiance inside, so probably pretty generic. Parking lot could be the stuff of nightmares, but I had no problem getting a spot. Worth stopping by if you're near Minocqua.“

Trig's - Minocqua (Grocery Store)
9750 WI-70
“Typical Trig's with it's Cellar 70 attachment. One of the larger Trig's so one of the large Cellar 70s. BYO section was small, and only one tick for me (YMMV). That being said it was decent. Beer selection overall good. Solid prices. One person working the section was filling in from another section, but she was still extremely friendly and helpful. I left smiling (if a manager ever sees this, it was ~830 pm on 10/22/21). Not worth going out of your way for but worth stopping by if in town.“
